“We celebrated you and said our goodbyes yesterday. . . I never wanted to do this.
“I’m grateful that my wife @melissalove44 helped @callkimber decorate and plan this. I would be lost and not know what to do without them.
“Thank you to all the people who came out. Grateful for family I have been unable to see in a long time. It was definitely an emotional roller coaster. Bruce did an amazing job speaking for Darrell and I just hope and pray that everyone enjoyed their time yesterday as well all let go and said our goodbyes to @darrellgambler.
“Thank you all and I love you.”
Fan-favourite Sheets, appeared on Storage Wars between 2010 and 2023.
In a statement shortly after, police said that Sheets appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.
The Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office then later confirmed that Sheets died by suicide.
Allegations of cyberbullying before Sheets' death
Following his death, Sheets' Storage Wars co-star René Nezhoda spoke out to slam a 'cyberbully' who allegedly 'tormented' the late TV star.
Taking to Instagram to reflect on their friendship and clarify that their rivalry on the reality TV show didn't resemble their real-life bond, Nezhoda said: "I know a lot of you guys think we hated each other because we competed a lot on the show.
"And you know, we had our moments. We had our run-ins because we were both competitors, right?"
He then added: "Also I know Darrell would want something positive out of this, so he had a guy that [was] really really tormenting him lately. Cyberbullying.
"It doesn’t mean you know what we’re about. Also, it doesn’t entitle you to bully somebody. That’s not [just] us, that’s anybody. That’s any athlete. You shouldn’t cyberbully at all."

He concluded: “As a matter of fact, if you have somebody in your life that thinks it’s funny to cyberbully other people, may that be a celebrity, athlete or little girl at school… slap ’em in the back of the head. Make them become a better human being."
Known as ‘The Gambler’, Sheets featured on more than 160 episodes of Storage Wars, often appearing alongside his son Brandon,
After leaving the show in 2023, he set up his own antique business called Havasu Show Me Your Junk.
Following his tragic death, A&E said in a statement: “We are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars family, Darrell ‘The Gambler’ Sheets.
“Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
