Taylor Swift’s air time at Super Bowl compared to last year’s game is completely staggering

Taylor Swift was booed by Super Bowl fans

Taylor Swift had drastically different air time at this year's Super Bowl, where the Kansas City Chiefs were defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Swift was there cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce, tight end for the Chiefs, but since their team was defeated 40-22 by the Eagles, he'd have been commiserating rather than celebrating by the end of the night.

Her association with the Chiefs meant she got booed by Eagles fans when the camera cut to her and put her image on the jumbotron for the crowd to see, and fans think they've worked out her three-word reaction to her negative reception.

While she had to watch her boyfriend lose the Super Bowl, Swift also had to put up with US president Donald Trump seemingly intent on having a go at her.

He posted videos of their reactions on Truth Social and said she had the toughest night of all while declaring 'MAGA is very unforgiving'.

Following complaints in previous years about how much the cameras kept cutting to Swift, this year her screentime saw a significant shift.

At last year's Super Bowl, Swift appeared on screen 12 times for a total of 54 seconds in CBS' broadcast.

Given that the Super Bowl lasts a very long time, it's hardly the sort of thing that's liable to ruin your enjoyment of the show, but people complained anyway.

This time around the camera only cut to her once, giving her far less screentime than she'd had before.

Not that she's likely to mind, Swift has said in the past that she doesn't know how much she's going to be shown and it's not in her control anyway.

The amount of times cameras spend cutting to Swift for a reaction at NFL games has been dropping for a while.

According to The Mirror, broadcasters have really toned down the Taylor Swift content during Chiefs games.

Meanwhile, before the Super Bowl the Irish Star said there would not be a dedicated camera on her to constantly check for her reactions and would only cut to her when it was fitting.

That would probably mean that Travis Kelce would need to do something to make her reaction worthwhile, and some who watched the Super Bowl reckoned the Chiefs tight end 'didn't do anything' noteworthy in the game.

One fan wrote: "Travis Kelce just didn’t do anything. 4 receptions on 6 targets, for 39 yards. Much less reason to show her when there’s not much for her to react to."

Donald Trump makes an appearance - and fans can't work out if he was booed or cheered

Donald Trump became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl yesterday, but fans couldn't make out if the POTUS was met with cheers or boos.

The camera panned to the 78-year-old during Jon Batiste's rendition of the national anthem.

One fan wondered: "Did they cheer or boo Trump? Difficult to tell."

New Lilo & Stitch trailer sees Stitch run riot in stadium

Like always, there were some major new movie trailers premiering during the game including Jurassic Park Rebirth, M3GAN 2.0 and Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning.

By far the most popular though was the new ad for Lilo & Stitch, which saw the adorable little blue alien cause absolute chaos in the Super Bowl stadium.

You can watch it below:

Kendrick Lamar's epic Drake diss during halftime show

There was a lot of talk as to whether Lamar would perform his Grammy-winning 'Not Like Us' in light of Drake's lawsuit. As we all suspected he would, he went ahead - but censored the track's most controversial line which called Drake a 'certified paedophile'.

Lamar was also spotted wearing a necklace with a massive 'a' on it, a reference to his brutal 'Not Like Us' quip where he says of Drake and his team: "Tryna strike a chord and it's probably A minor."

Samuel L. Jackson, dressed up as Uncle Sam, made a surprise appearance as Lamar's emcee. The way he butted in by accusing Lamar of being 'too ghetto' was widely assumed to be a reference to a group of Republicans who wrote a letter to the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, demanding Lamar's halftime show not be too 'lewd' or 'offensive'.

Serena Williams' surprise appearance

One person few people expected to turn up during Kendrick Lamar's set was Serena Williams, with the tennis star doing a 'crip walk' dance at the corner of the stage.

Not only was her appearance significant because she's rumoured to have dated Drake, but she was also widely criticised for doing the same dance at Wimbledon to celebrate winning an Olympic gold medal in 2021. Many said the backlash against her was racist.

Williams wrote after the Super Bowl: "Man, I did not crip walk like that at Wimbledon. Ooh, I would’ve been fined."
