Taylor Lautner and wife Tay welcome first child and her name pays a sweet tribute to her parents
Taylor Lautner and wife Tay have welcomed their first child and they’ve given the newborn a very familiar name.
The couple, who tied the knot in November 2022, shared the happy news on their Instagram accounts, confirming they were parents to a little girl.
The pair also revealed her name: Lennon Taylor, with her middle name seemingly a tribute to both dad Taylor and mum Taylor.
In a cute snap, the newborn could be seen in a pink onesie next to a needlepoint that revealed her name alongside the image of a teddy bear and a pink balloon.

“One week loving our sweet little Lenny 🤍 Lennon Taylor Lautner 🎀 9.16.2026,” they wrote in their caption.
The couple announced they were going to become parents for the first time back in March.
The parents-to-be took a playful a swipe at their matching names, posting a shot of Tay’s growing bump alongside the caption: “What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?”
In June, the couple confirmed that they were expecting a little girl and more recently admitted that they were considering naming her Taylor.
During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Tay said they’d narrowed their list of names down to five or six and that Taylor was still in the running, joking that she thought the couple might be ‘cancelled’ if they didn’t name their baby Taylor Lautner.
“I feel like if I don’t name my baby Taylor, the Internet’s literally gonna cancel me,” she said.
“I’m gonna get canceled. But I’m like, ‘Guys, are you really gonna want that name?’
She also revealed that had their baby been a boy they would have likely settled on Taylor as a name, but could use TJ for short.
Lautner is best known for his role as werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight saga films opposite Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
He has also starred in movies such as Valentine’s Day and The Adventures Of Sharkboy And Lavagirl In 3-D.
On TV, he has had roles in BBC sitcom Cuckoo and US dark comedy series Scream Queens, and he also appeared as a robber in the video for pop superstar Taylor Swift’s 2023 song I Can See You.
He also co-hosts the mental health and wellbeing podcast The Squeeze, alongside his wife – who is a trained nurse.
Tay opened up about sharing the news of her pregnancy on an episode of the podcast, admitting that she was ‘scared’.
“I’ve never shared anything this personal with the internet before,” she explained.
“And I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about it.”
However, despite feeling apprehensive about detailing such a personal part of her life, Tay went on to share refreshingly candid updates about her pregnancy, including revealing she ‘didn’t feel great’ about the changes to her body.
“I’ve never really struggled with comparison, but I’ve definitely found myself comparing, like, my pregnant body to other pregnant women, especially the women that are weeks away from giving birth and are still all skinny and fit,” she explained.
“It’s the first time I’ve really had that struggle before, which I think might also be a thing,” Tay continued.
“I’m already not feeling great about myself, but then the comparison aspect of it.”
