The Gentlemen star Theo James left a pub landlady ‘gobsmacked’ after showing off his hidden talent while in her pub.
The 41-year-old actor is best known for his roles in the hit Guy Ritchie series and the Divergent movie franchise and as a brand ambassador for the likes of Range Rover and Hugo Boss, but it seems there’s more to him than meets the eye.
During a recent visit to the King’s Head in Poole, Dorset, with his Gentlemen co-star Kaya Scodelario, he took to the mic and performed a rap leaving pubgoers - and the landlady - stunned.
The duo had been working in the area filming the upcoming third season of the popular Netflix show.

But after filming wrapped up for the day, they headed out to the local boozer to let their hair down.

James treated the regulars to his rendition of Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio and then reportedly partied on into the wee small hours with his cast-mate.
Pub owner Kim Novell told the Sun: “I couldn’t believe it.
“I was absolutely gobsmacked. They were lovely.”
While it’s safe to say that most of the folks at the King’s Head were surprised to see James rapping a 1990s hit at their local, fans of the star might not be as shocked, because the actor used to be a musician.
James was the singer and guitarist of the London-based band Shere Khan until they went their separate ways in 2012.
Reflecting on his time in the band, James shared some not-so-fond memories during a 2024 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
"I've had lots of things go wrong," James said.
"I've had my foot crushed [under] a moving piece of equipment on stage once. I was looking the wrong direction and this roller thing just crushed my entire foot. When I was playing in a band I had a bottle of urine [thrown] at me, which was nice. At that point I was like, maybe I should try something else."

When the shocked host asked him to share a little more detail on that particular bombshell, he continued: "It was a strange, sweaty, horrible gig. I think the act before us were late and everyone was kind of inebriated and angry and someone decided that the best way to deal with that was pee in a bottle and throw it at someone's face."
I think I can see why he made the switch to acting now, can’t you?
He’s also revealed that growing up he was a ‘middle-class guy that listened to a bunch of hip-hop’, which might explain his song of choice at the pub.
In fact, during an interview with The Times, he revealed that while at school he performed Gangsta’s Paradise at a school music night with a full choir behind him and it seems the song is still a firm favourite.
He’s also previously admitted to be ‘pretending to be a lot cooler’ than he really was.
“We had a whole group of friends that called ourselves the ‘A Crew,’” he said.
