Tulisa has shared an update on her dating life after opening up about being demisexual.
The 37-year-old made the admission while taking part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! last year, as she said she needs ‘to have a really close emotional bond with someone’.
Revealing she had been celibate for over three years, her appearance on the ITV show marked her return to our screens. And while she’s dipped out of the spotlight again since, Tulisa has now released her book Judgement.
Out today (13 August), it looks back on the 2013 sting by Mazher Mahmood and the high-profile cocaine trial that led to her career ‘imploding’. While the singer was exonerated, the whole thing had a lasting impact on her with her conflicted about fame.

Tulisa says she spent five years after the trial feel fragile, vulnerable, and worried about what people thought about her.
“Somehow I’ve just got back to this place now where I think I’ve balanced my vulnerability, but I’ve also got that old savage in me that doesn’t give a s***,” the 37-year-old explained.
And while she grieves the recent deaths of her dad and her beloved dog, the star is in a much happier place, with a ‘lot of healing’ done.
For the past eight years, Tulisa has lived on her own and reckons she’d find it tough living with someone else, as she’s become so comfortable in her isolation.

“What I will say is that I currently have a long-standing emotional connection with someone in my life, but I remain single for now,” the former X Factor judge shared.
“I’m open to dating but I’m quite lazy with it. If I’m going to end up with someone, it’s more than likely that it will be with someone I already know. I’m not really into new connections. I just don’t have the energy.”
During I’m A Celeb, one of her fellow stars asked what it was like to go for years without sex.
She said: “I’m not an overly sexualised person.

“For me, it’s all about the connection and the emotions that I feel with someone and then wanting to express them in that way.”
Having shared this update on her dating life in her book, Tulisa also said she’s frozen her eggs to give her more time to consider having kids.
But she doesn’t plan on doing that alone - and she’s not so keen on the idea with two of her exes saying they’d be happy to step up to it.
“If I do it, I feel like the man’s got to really make me want to have kids and set the tone in an environment that makes me go, ‘Ok, I like this’. I really would need a 50/50 partner,” she added.
