A tweet from Victoria Beckham aimed at Nicola Peltz has resurfaced after Brooklyn Beckham's controversial statement about his parents 'controlling' his life.

The 26-year-old shocked social media on Monday (19 January) with a series of scathing posts aimed at his family, confirming rumours of a feud between the Beckham family.

Brooklyn made a number of claims in a long-form post, which came after over a year of him and his wife being absent from Beckham family gatherings and public appearances

He said that his parents, David and Victoria, have had a part in trying to 'ruin' his relationship with his wife, Nicola, claiming that his mum specifically had a hand in ruining his wedding. He also claimed he has been 'controlled' all of his life and that 'Brand Beckham' always came first before anything else.

In recent months, Brooklyn and Nicola have removed all family posts from social media, as it was reported that the former sent a 'cease and desist' letter to his superstar parents.

Footage of Nicola at the Beckham premiere has also recently resurfaced, showing the actress looking 'uncomfortable' as she's called over by David and Victoria, along with their kids, to pose on the red carpet at the event.

Brooklyn was seen encouraging Nicola to join the group snap, as she looked reluctant before posing alongside the Beckhams. Take a look below:

It adds to claims from Brooklyn that his parents 'valued public promotion above all else' and that they attempted to hijack his relationship with Nicola.

He claimed that his mum 'cancelled' making Nicola's wedding dress in the 'eleventh hour' before their 2022 wedding, before hijacking their first dance at the wedding to dance 'inappropriately' on him.

But while he even alleged that his parents 'pressured' him into 'signing away the rights' to his name prior to the marriage, old posts from his Spice Girl mum have started to circulate online.

In a post from 9 January 2024, Victoria put up a post for Nicola's birthday in what looked like a heartfelt message.

"Happy birthday @nicolaannepeltz… We love you so much!! Your love, kindness, talent and your ability to dance on sand in a major wedge!!"

The 51-year-old added: "The best dance partner and loving daughter in law. We love you, have an amazing day!!!!! Xxxxxx"

The post was coupled with a video of the pair, who could be seen dancing in unison at the beach before breaking out into their own dances to some music. As an outsider looking in, there doesn't seem to be much tension at all in the video, contrasting the feeling from the couple towards the fashion designer today.

Two years on, Brooklyn spoke of how his mum 'humiliated' him with her actions at their wedding, despite sporting a tattoo which reads 'mama's boy'.

Responding to the claims from Brooklyn that his mum refused to design Nicola's dress, the wedding dress designer commented on how the actress' custom Valentino Couture dress was 'the culmination of a year’s worth of conversations'.

It involved two trips to Rome and two fittings in the US, as designer Leslie Fremar spoke of the 'simplicity' of the design, throwing a sense of doubt over Brooklyn's 'eleventh hour' claims that his mum had left Nicola with little time to find a new dress. But while Nicola said around the time that there was no feud with the Beckhams, it has very much become one this year.

Full timeline of the Beckham family feud

April 2022: Brooklyn and Nicola tie the knot

On 9 April 2022, Brooklyn and Nicola got married in a lavish ceremony in front of 500 guests at her family's estate in Palm Beach, Florida, two years after getting engaged.

Aug 2022: The first reports of a feud between Nicola and Victoria Beckham

Just months after the wedding, media sources were starting to report on a 'full-on cold war' between Nicola and her new mum-in-law.

According to Page Six, 'the build-up to the wedding was horrendous' and they 'can’t stand each other and don’t talk'.

Reports also claimed much of the feud came from Nicola's decision to wear a Valentino wedding dress instead of a piece designed by Victoria's fashion house, but they appeared to quash these rumours.

March 2023: The Beckhams play happy families

In March 2023, the Beckhams seemed to be happier than ever and were posing for photos at Victoria's Paris fashion show.

April 2025: The family rift resurfaces

Two years on, it was reported that Brooklyn and Nicola had snubbed David's 50th birthday party at Cipriani Downtown Miami.

And then, just days later, TMZ claimed that Brooklyn and brother Romeo weren't speaking due to a fallout over Romeo's girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, who had a 'romantic connection' with Brooklyn 'several years ago'.

Cruz later insisted that Brooklyn and Kim had never actually dated, and in May of 2025, Brooklyn and Nicola were nowhere to be seen as the birthday celebrations for David continued.

July 2025: Mass unfollowing on social media

In July 2025, Brooklyn and Nicola unfollowed Romeo and Cruz and vice versa.

August 2025: David and Victoria miss vow renewals

The following month, David and Victoria are reported not to have attended the Peltz-Beckham vow renewals.

And by December that year, it was reported that Brooklyn no longer followed his parents, and they no longer followed him, and the youngest brother was quick to set the record straight.

Dec 2025: Cruz speaks out

Cruz wrote on his Instagram Stories about the claims that he and his family had unfollowed Brooklyn: "NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son … Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I."

Jan 2026: Brooklyn takes legal action

In January 2026, it was claimed that Brooklyn sent a legal letter to his parents, insisting they only contact him via his lawyer; a rule which Victoria is believed to have broken when she 'liked' an Instagram post he made about a roast chicken.

Jan 2026: Brooklyn breaks silence on family feud

In a shock statement posted on his Instagram Stories on 19 January, Brooklyn made some bombshell claims about his family, which included how his parents have tried to 'ruin' his relationship with Nicola, have always 'controlled' his life, and how 'Brand Beckham' comes first before anything else.
