Channing Tatum is a global heart-throb. Known for his starring role in Magic Mike, Tatum is a celebrated dancer, actor and model, And for that he is worth a reported $80 million (that’s approximately £64 million), according to Celebrity Net Worth.  

Tatum had humble beginnings. He was born in Alabama to a construction worker father and flight attendant mother.

Throughout his childhood he was always sporty and developed a love of track and field events that would keep him out of trouble — he later attended Glenville State College in West Virginia on a prestigious football scholarship. 

But the life of an athlete was not for Tatum. As a college drop out, he was in and out of odd jobs before eventually becoming a stripper at a nightclub, performing under the pseudonym Chan Crawford.

Tatum’s first big break in the entertainment industry came when he was cast for Ricky Martin’s ‘She Bangs’ music video and was paid $400 for the job. His crowd-pleasing performances and smooth moves made him a natural performer for showbiz. 

From there his career skyrocketed and it wasn’t long before he was scouted. He modelled for big names like Armani, Dolce and Gabbana — and even Abercrombie and Fitch. His good looks were starting to prove useful. 

Yet Tatum wanted more and decided to pursue acting roles. His debut role was in She’s the Man, working alongside industry names like Laura Ramsey and Amanda Bynes. Since then he’s starred in 21 Jump Street, Dear John, Dog and most recently —The Lost City which premiered in April 2022. 

To add, his property portfolio speaks volumes; a $6 million estate in Beverly Hills, a $2.5 million house in Los Angeles and his most recent acquisition — a $5.6 million farmhouse in Brentwood, California.
