Chris Pratt has revealed he doesn't like to be called ‘Chris’ and prefers to be called one of his nicknames by those who know him best.

The 43-year-old admitted in a new interview with SiriusXM's Pop Culture Spotlight With Jessica Shaw that ‘it feels weird’ when someone calls him by his actual name.

Shaw asked The Terminal List actor: "What do they call you? Pratt?"

To which he answered: "Yep. Pratt. CP. You know, CP. 'Hey, CP.'

"But no one calls me Chris. My friend, Chad. I went golfing with my friend, Chad, my pastor the other day and he was like, 'No one calls you Chris? I'm gonna call you Chris. Alright, Chris. You're up.'

"And I was like, 'No, it feels weird. It's not my name. Don't call me Chris.'"

The name reveal comes days after he revealed he can finally spell the surname Schwarzenegger, three years after getting married to Arnie’s daughter.

Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger got married back in June 2019, but the Guardians of the Galaxy star let slip he struggled with his wife’s famous surname, admitting he’s now learnt how to spell it.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote Jurassic World Dominion, he was asked if he struggled with the name in the past.

After congratulating the star on the recent birth of his second child with Schwarzenegger, Kimmel asked him: "Can I ask you a question? Please be honest... Do you ever have trouble spelling Schwarzenegger?"

A laughing Pratt replied: "I've learned now. Yeah, I've learned now."

Kimmel added: “I have to tell you, when he was governor and I used to have to write it a lot when we were doing the monologue, and every time I have to really think about it."

To which the movie star agreed: "Yeah, it's a long name. There are a lot of letters in these children's names. Schwarzenegger is the second middle name.

“[…] We didn't hyphenate the names – it's a middle name, but I guess maybe that's semantics."

When Kimmel asked if Arnold had insisted on that, Pratt said: “No, no, that was Katherine. She’s got his strength! What mama says, goes!"

The Passengers star announced the birth of their second child, a daughter named Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt on Instagram last month.

Pratt revealed that she was born on 21 May and that baby and mother were both 'doing well'.

He said in a statement: "We are so excited to announce the birth of our second daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt. Mama and baby are doing well. We feel beyond blessed and grateful."
