Cole Sprouse Captured A Fan Secretly Googling Him And Posted It On His Instagram Story

The 'Riverdale' star is known for trying to catch people out when they recognise him, and he has pretty much outdone himself this time

Given that he's been famous since he was a kid acting alongside his twin brother Dylan Sprouse in Nickelodeon's The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, it seems obvious that Cole Sprouse would be used to people recognising him by now.

As it happens, he is so used to it that he has a whole Instagram page dedicated to it.

It's called camera_duels, and he describes it like this: "This instagram is dedicated to the people out there who secretly take photos of me, and how I take photos of them first. May the fastest camera win."

Seriously, go and look at it - it's full of people who are in the act of taking a picture of him, but trying not to let on that they are.

Seems like a pretty funny idea to be honest, and now the star - who has most recently played Jughead Jones in The CW's teen drama Riverdale - has taken it one step further.

The other day whilst on holiday in Hawaii he was innocently buying an ice cream when he noticed that straight in front of him, 19-year-old college student Janani Krishnan-Jha was on Google secretly searching for him.

In customary fashion he took a picture of her doing this as well as a shot of his reaction to it and posted them on his Instagram story. As I'm sure you can imagine, his fans found this just hilarious.

One fan, @Roaynatee18, tweeted: "She be like "is that Cole Sprouse" *check on google* HAHAHA"

Luckily it seems as if Cole is pretty nice about this sort of thing and finds it pretty funny.

Krishnan-Jha was tracked down by Buzzfeed and said she eventually got what she wanted despite being caught in the act.

She told them: "I was waiting in line when I turned around and saw someone who looked eerily like Cole Sprouse.

"I almost told him he looked a lot like Cole Sprouse, but then I realized that it might actually be him. Because I wasn't 100% sure yet.

"I decided to turn around and google the name quickly. (I actually googled Dylan Sprouse first, so I hope he didn't see that).

"I had no idea that he was looking, and thought the phone was sufficiently hidden, but I guess I didn't do a good enough job because when I turned to ask for a selfie, he smiled and told me he'd seen me google him.

"I told him I was embarrassed, and we laughed and took a selfie!"

All's well that ends well, I guess.
