New Netflix series Dead to Me proved to be something of an instant classic when it was added to the streaming service at the beginning of May - so much so, in fact, that it will be returning for a second season.
Just one month after many of us binged on the whole thing in a matter of days, Netflix has announced that the show has now been renewed for another instalment, which is a great news considering the bombshell we had dropped on us in the closing moments of season one.
For anyone who hasn't seen the dark comedy, the series follows hot-head widow Jen, who lost her husband after he was involved in a hit-and-run incident. She then attends a grief support group, which is where she encounters Judy - a free-spirited keeping a big secret - and drama/comedy ensues.

Meanwhile, those of you who have already enjoyed the first series will know that there are a lot of questions that need answering - CONSIDER THIS YOUR SPOILER WARNING, BTW.
In particular, there's the small matter of Judy's ex, Steve, floating in Jen's pool, looking pretty dead.
Did Jen shoot him? Or is that too obvious? What are Jen and Judy going to do? Will the removal of a dead body be the bonding activity they need to end their feud?

What about Ted's murder case? Will Judy go down for that?

Creator Liz Feldman will be back on board as showrunner, while Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini will return as their respective characters, Jen and Judy - which is great news for anyone who enjoyed their incredible performances the first time round.
Applegate, in particular, has been heaped with praise for her turn as a grief-stricken widow obsessively trying to find her husband's killer, while also trying to move on at the same time.
But Applegate almost wasn't up for the role, as she was enjoying a semi-retired life that involved focusing on family life.

She told THR: "It literally took them like dragging me out of my semi-retirement, because I was very happy with my kind of not showering life and doing what I want, and just raising my daughter.
"So, what was it? It was a lot of things."
She continued: "It was really a unique premise and show, and I had known [creator and showrunner] Liz Feldman and really loved her as a human being.
"I feel like if I'm going to be doing anything, if you're going to take me away from my kids for three months, it better be with an amazing group of people that are of quality and are kind, smart and interesting."

Thank God she could be convinced, eh?
There's no word yet of when we can expect the second season to hit Netflix, but fingers crossed we won't have to wait too long...
