With Deadpool being so popular, it's easy to see why Fox is expanding the character's reach: first with the upcoming sequel to the 2016 smash hit movie, due out in May this year, and now the animated series.
And there's no need to worry about Deadpool being toned down for TV either, as Marvel TV bosses are describing the show as 'adult animation'. Phew, that's a relief. Can you really imagine Deadpool being anything but something you'd rather not watch with your parents?
"Donald Glover is an incredibly gifted and versatile artist who'll bring the untitled Marvel's Deadpool series to life with the same intense, singular vision as his breakout hit Atlanta," FX original programming president Nick Grad said in a statement confirming the series.
"With the success of Legion, we're looking forward to again partnering with Marvel Television to create a series that is bold, striking and entirely original."

This new Deadpool cartoon will deffo make Donald's life busier as he already has a raft of projects to deal with.
This year, he'll be appearing in Solo: A Star Wars Story, playing Simba in the new live-action Lion King and getting to work on Atlanta's second season.
