Fans Are Calling For A Spinoff Series Of The Hound And Tormund

I'd certainly watch that.

The incredible HBO series Game of Thrones has some equally incredible characters. After seven seasons, unfortunately some of our favourites have been mercilessly killed off (much to our outrage) and only the savvy, conniving, quick on their feet and vengeful have remained.

But those people who have managed to avoid an arrow, sword, poison, assassination or explosion have had some pretty decent interactions with each other.

You've got Jaime Lannister and Bronn, Bran and Hodor, Brienne and Podrick, Ramsay Bolton and Theon Greyjoy/Reek, Daenerys and Missandei, I could go on and on. However, the latest episode, Beyond the Wall, sparked the newest coupling that is getting people very excited.

Introducing the Hound and Tormund.

The back and forth these two have is nothing short of brilliant. In fact, it's so good that fans are calling for HBO, or any network, to organise a spinoff show involving the Wildling and the former bodyguard.

HBO hasn't been shy in talking about setting up a spinoff show once Game of Thrones finishes with the next and last season. The network claims it is looking at five potential shows, but will most likely pick just one. HBO president of programming Casey Bloys told Entertainment Weekly: "The bar set... is so high that my hope is to get one show that lives up to it."

He also mentioned that GoT show creators David Benioff and D B Weiss most likely won't be a part of that potential project. He said: "In conversations with them, they feel if their name is on the prequels - even in a passive way - it conveys some sort of expectation or responsibility.

"They want to enjoy the show as fans and don't want to worry about the scripts or production issues. We were hoping to have their names on it out of respect for them, but we understand why they don't want that."

I'm totally on board with a Tormund and the Hound series. It even rolls of the tongue. Can you imagine the whacky adventures the pair would get up to, with Brienne of Tarth as the love interest?

We can only dream.
