As you might already know, yesterday saw the Westeros wedding of the year as Jon Snow finally tied the knot with his wilding girlfriend Ygritte. By which, of course, I mean Kit Harington and Rose Leslie got married in Scotland.
Needless to say, the whole of the Game of Thrones cast tipped out for the event, dressed up in all of their finest gear to celebrate with Harington and Leslie.
Emelia Clarke, also known as Daenerys Stormborn (first of her name, the mother of dragons, the unburnt, the breaker of chains...and so on and so forth) showed up, as did Jon's on-screen half-sisters Arya and Sansa Stark, aka Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams, and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister to fans of the show).
The guests gathered at Rayne Church, in Aberdeenshire to celebrate the marriage ceremony, they then went back to Wardhill Castle, which is a castle that Rose Leslie's family owns (which is the opposite way round to the relationship between their characters in the show, but whatever) for the wedding reception.
The happy couple have been together since starring opposite each other in the HBO show. Ygritte was eventually killed off at the end of the fourth season, but not before she stuck a few well-placed arrows into her future husband. Precious memories, eh?
Since then, Jon Snow has gone on to become the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, been ruthlessly murdered by his colleagues, and then revived to become the King in the North. It's been an interesting couple of years to say the least.
It's nearly over though, as next year's series will be the last six episodes of Game of Thrones. We'll have to make do with whatever spin-off shows they can come up with.
Speaking of precious memories, it seems as if Kit Harington might share a bit of the awkwardness that his character Jon Snow is famous for. He recently gave an interview about how he proposed to Rose, and it seems as if he might have made somewhat of a hash of it, to say the least.
Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, he said: "I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff, but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early."
He then hastily added: "Sorry, that's a really bad expression!"
