If you're a Haunting of Hill House fan, then you're probably already fully aware of the rumours that Netflix will be signing up a second season of the ace horror show. As yet, nothing is officially confirmed, but with the show picking up rave reviews and an army of fans after just one season it seems pretty bloody likely doesn't it?

And in a recent interview the show's Olivia Crain, actress Carla Guginoa hinted at the fact that not only is show creator Mike Flanagan interested in making a second season, but he might even re-use the same actors in an American Horror Story style anthology series.

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, she said: "Mike Flanagan said he would be interested in the notion of an anthology, where some actors come back to play different characters.

"I think he feels like he has told the complete story of the Crain family. But if I was invited and I was able to, I would really love to, just because I do love to collaborate with him."

Meanwhile, actor Oliver Jackson-Cohen told Digital Spy: "There's millions of different options - they could continue on and have it a couple of years on and how the remaining Crains are dealing with it. They could go back and tell the story of the Hills at Hill House.

"There's so many options that they can toy with here, which I think makes it so exciting to be part of a show like this."

And Flanagan himself sounds like he might be keen, too.

He told the Hollywood Reporter: "I've definitely thought about a second season. There are variables at play, so I can't say much. But I've given it thought."

But, also added that the Crain family's story is done and if there was a new season it wouldn't focus on them.

"As far as I've ever been concerned with this, the story of the Crain family is told," he said. "It's done.

"I felt like the Crains have been through enough and we left them exactly as we all wanted to remember them, those of us who worked on it."

Sounds good, eh? A whole new creepy family to get stuck in to. Now all we need is for Netflix to put is out of our misery and tell us there's going to be a second season.
