Ryan Reynolds is just so deserving and Deadpool was easily the most original film in 2016 - so why wasn't he nominated for an Oscar?

The wrong Ryan has been nominated for Best Actor - Ryan Gosling is all very good and everything but La La Land just pales into comparison besides the awesomeness that is Deadpool.

Funny, quickwitted, droll, innovative - when's the last time you remember seeing a film in which there were a) no clichés and b) talking to the camera and made it work?
Never. That's so hard to pull off!
First off, let's just say that comedies are really underrated when it comes to awards season. But which is easier to act, a funny scene or a romantic scene? And yes, Gosling tap-danced his way all over Los Angeles, but Reynolds quipped his way over New York city, killing people and making us laugh.

Yeah whatever jazz man.
I think Ryan Reynolds secretly wants an Academy Award too - remember at the beginning of the film he introduced himself as "five-time Academy Award viewer, Ryan Reynolds in an eHarmony date with destiny."
He did get nominated for a Golden Globe - but the other Ryan got that one, too. The consolation prize was that Andrew Garfield snogged him in an attempt to take the sting out.

But Ryan Reynolds doesn't mind - I don't think he was expecting an Oscar nomination somehow. Before the Golden Globe Award Ceremony, he tweeted the cast were going to have a tickle fight, and now he tweeted it again. Maybe he just likes tickling?
