How'd they miss this!?

As far as ridiculous narratives for a Jeremy Kyle Show go, this one has to be up there.

The show was under investigation after it apparently aired an uncensored swear word because producers couldn't understand the guest's Scottish accent.

Not shitting you at all here, lads.

The word 'c*nt' can apparently be heard during a 'heated exchange between two programme contributors who were speaking very quickly' in a segment called, "When I prove I didn't cheat, will you let me see our daughter?". This is so Jeremy Kyle it hurts.

Anyway, ITV later admitted the word had been broadcast for the simple reason that it hadn't been understood.

Eleven different members of the production team, as well as a Scottish crew member, didn't catch the use of 'Ya c*nt', according to Ofcom.

The show didn't actually get any viewer complaints but ITV were alerted to the production mistake by colleagues at STV who had cut that bit from the episode on catch-up services.

Ofcom decided in the end that the word was offensive and aired it before the watershed but there was no need to censor the show because it was not clearly audible.

ITV now claim they're taking 'extensive steps' to remove inappropriate material before it is aired.

If they were truly taking extensive steps to remove inappropriate material from the show, they'd just remove the show. But when has common sense ever prevailed? Plus, to be honest, Jeremy Kyle is entertaining.
