'I don't know...Paris?'

Sitting at home, watching a game show is, I imagine, a lot easier than appearing on a game show.

At home, we're all geniuses; we all know that the Benedictine monk who invented champagne was called Dom Pérignon and that you'd find the Sea of Tranquillity on the moon - obviously.

However, under the glare of the studio lights and with a live audience watching you the pressure must get to you, your mind would go blank and, ah, before you know it you're making a show of yourself in front of millions of people.

That can be the only reason that when asked to name a country that ended with two consonants, Sarah, who appeared on Pointless alongside her pal, Mariam, went with Paris. Yeah, Paris, honestly, that's what she said. I mean, she could have said England, that'd have been easy, wouldn't it? But that's what I mean: the pressure.

It gets worse, though, because our friend, Sarah, has got an A-level in geography, admittedly she didn't disclose what grade she got, probably for a very good reason.

When choosing a team-mate to appear on Pointless, I imagine Mariam thought to herself, 'well, I'm shit at geography, so I should pick someone who can help out there'. And then when a geography question came up she probably thought she was in safe hands. And then the fateful words: 'I don't know...Paris?'

This goes some way to explaining the face Mariam pulls when Sarah gives her answer and also the entire time host Alexander Armstrong is trying to make Sarah feel better, telling her answer isn't too stupid. If looks could kill.

Look at that face:

That's it. These two will be on separate trains home, deleted off each other's Facebook, unfollowed on Twitter and will never speak again.
