Imagine, you're entering a gameshow and the only advice you get from your boyfriend is that if you get stuck on a football question 'just say Henrik Larsson'.

However, it just shows that the countless hours we spend watching football do not always go to waste.

Watch below as Pointless contestant Tasha Smith wins the show:

While some might call it luck, Tasha's boyfriend Alex will call it 'fate'.

During the final round of the 2017 episode of Pointless, Tasha was asked to name a footballer who scored in Euro 2000.

Completely stuck, the teaching assistant remembered the advice of Alex.

After choosing 'Henrik Larsson', Tasha and her sister were delighted to learn that the Celtic legend was, in fact, the correct answer.

"That is right," host Alexander Armstrong congratulated, "Henrik Larsson is a correct answer."

When in doubt... just say 'Henrik Larsson'.

Recalling the incredible moment, host Richard Osman then asked the women if there was a 'story' behind why they chose that answer in the first place.

Laughing between themselves, Jo said: "We're gonna have to take Alex out for a drink I think."

Tasha then explained: "Basically, my boyfriend Alex is a massive Celtics supporter and he knows I'm rubbish with names and things like that.

"So he said anything football related - he's played for Man U, he's played for Celtic and Barcelona, I think - and he just said, 'Go for Henrik Larsson'."

She added: "And it's paid off!"

Osman then confirmed that the forward scored against Italy while playing for Sweden in the European Championships in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The amazing moment went viral on social media, with many eager to share their reactions to the episode.

One X (Twitter) user posted: "Love that two girls just won the jackpot on pointless cos one of their [sic] bf told them to just guess Henrik Larsson for any football question."

A second penned: "Henrik Larsson might be the best ever Pointless winning answer ever."

A third echoed: "Henrik Larsson is the answer to every question that matters. Fact."

"UNBELIEVABLE SCENES ON POINTLESS!" tweeted a fourth. "If in doubt, say Henrik Larsson."

Another called it 'the greatest Pointless moment ever'.

A final X user added: "Just goes to show you: Henrik Larsson is THE answer."

So, next time you're asked a slightly difficult question - why not pull a Tasha and Jo and just answer 'Henrik Larsson'?
