Warning: This article contains discussion of graphic sexual content and incest

A film with graphic, unsimulated X-rated scenes utterly shocked fans, and some of the scenes were done for a bizarre reason.

As much as everyone knows that the majority of films with sex scenes aren’t real, there are a select few in which actors are actually going at it.

Whether it be Aubrey Plaza or Robert Pattinson, the list of celebrities to have acted in an unsimulated sex scenes is longer than many may think.

One film in particular saw unsimulated sex scenes take place between multiple characters, including some who were actually related in the film (not the actors, thankfully).

The film is called The Visitor and to call it controversial is, honestly, an understatement.

Starring Bishop Black and directed by Bruce LaBruce, it's a remake of the Italian classic Theorem, a movie in which a mysterious visitor infiltrates a wealthy family by befriending.

After doing this, they have sexual encounters with everyone in the family, something which is carried over to The Visitor.

Where the 2024 English version differs in some specific ways.

Firstly, 'The Visitor' is a refugee who washes up on the shores of Britain in the film, emerging from a suitcase fully nude.

Another major difference is that nearly every sex scene in the film is fully unsimulated.

This is no soft-core porno masquerading as a film, however, as it debuted at the Berlin Film Festival and even received rave reviews from respected critics.

Indiewire gave the film an A grade, calling it ‘brilliantly depraved’.

The film’s unsimulated sex in the movie is done for one particular reason – to express the political beliefs of the hypocrisy of anti-migrant rhetoric amongst the rich in the UK.

After washing up on the shores The Visitor walks along to Enoch Powell’s infamously racist ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech before infiltrating the white upper middle class family.

This then makes way to graphic sex scenes with every single member of the family, with slogans shooting across the scene such as ‘Colonise the Coloniser’, ‘Overrule Brittania’, and ‘Prick up your Rears’.

One particularly shocking one is ‘Family values’ which appears on screen during an incestuous threesome between The Visitor, the father of the family, and his daughter. The film's trailer is accentuated with a simple slogan - open borders, open legs.

This happens amid the films river of sexually explicit materials along with p*ss, sh*t, and even blood.

The shocking details about the film don’t even stop in front of the camera though as the producers held a massive sex party after the premiere.

Speaking before the party at a Q&A in which people in gimp masks acted as a table for his drinks, the director LaBruce said his message was: “Sexual liberation will set you free, and transform you.”

Unsurprisingly The Visitor is not on any streaming services, but ask around and I’m sure you can get your hands on a copy if your interest is piqued.
