Grown Ups child star has taken up completely new career as he’s missing from cast reunion

Child stars regularly seem to disappear from Hollywood but one popular young actor might be about to make a comeback.

We've seen the likes of Erik Per Sullivan from Malcolm in the Middle and Danny Lloyd from The Shining leave their acting careers behind after breaking through at a young age, while every Christmas we ask where the kid from Elf might be these days.

Jake Goldberg was perhaps another example after featuring in both of the popular Grown Ups films in 2010 and 2013 respectively, playing Adam Sandler's son in both of the series, alongside his on-screen younger brother Cameron Boyce before his tragic death in 2019.

After it was confirmed by Netflix recently that the comedy film would become a trilogy, featuring some very grown-up kids and some not so grown up adults, many will be wondering if Goldberg would make a comeback.

A picture posted by Netflix of a cast reunion, showing off the likes of Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Salma Hayek, Maya Rudolph and Maria Bello, might have hinted that Goldberg might not be returning, especially after taking up a whole new career.

After attending the University of Colorado Boulder, Goldberg has built up a sizeable following on TikTok, with close to 400k followers on the social media platform thanks to his food content videos.

He still makes reference to his old role as Greg Feder, although he has previously suggested that he is no longer in contact with Sandler despite the success of the films.

Using the name ‘silly_jake’ online, Goldberg regularly posts cooking videos, recipes and clips of himself trying different foods, with his Instagram account also sitting at around 700,000 followers.

Speaking about his relationship with Sandler after a question from a fan, he said: “For those who don't know I was Greg Feder in Grown Ups 1 and Grown Ups 2, Adam Sandler's son.

“The answer to your question is no I don't. He's had a lot of stuff, I was also super young. I stopped acting for five years, went to college and all that good stuff.”

Goldberg made clear there was no apparent falling-out between them, adding: “It's been a while, I should reach out though, see how he's doing. Great guy.”

And now it does in fact seem as if he will make his acting return in the upcoming movie, which has already begun filming.

Per the official logline: “Now that their kids are all grown up, the gang is finally free to go on the ultimate adventure.”

Sandler's wife Jackie may well also return for the third instalment, even if she's not playing his wife in the film, since the legendary comedy actor has a way of sneaking her into a lot of his projects.
