Keanu Reeves is officially returning as John Wick in unexpected new movie
Hollywood might have replaced Harry Potter and are in the process of getting a new James Bond but there's seemingly only one man who can play John Wick.
Keanu Reeves, star of The Matrix, is the only one who's ever played the retired hitman who wants nothing more than to get revenge on the men who killed his dog and grieve the love of his life.
Having already featured as the badass on four separate occasions, the Canadian actor is now set to return as the character once again, but not in the way you might imagine.
After some rather dangerous stunts in the previous films, which included the 62-year-old accidentally cutting the head open of another actor on set and another getting hit by the car, you might understand why they're going down the animation route this time around.

Lionsgate has confirmed that Reeves will voice Wick in the upcoming animated project, which was first announced at CinemaCon2025 by Lionsgate chair Adam Fogelson.
He said: "In both animation and the world of John Wick, the possibilities are endless.
"There is no John Wick story fans are clamouring for more than the Impossible Task. Shannon’s take on that story is an incredible one, and we are beyond excited to see what John Wick can do in animation."
And it's now been confirmed that Reeves is coming back, in what will hopefully be a slightly less stressful role for the iconic actor, rather than the various stunts and intense scenes he'd usually have to film.
We've not had a release date or too many details confirmed yet, but it is verified that it will be a prequel set before the events of the first film, and will see Wick complete the Impossible Task in order to free himself from the High Table and be with the love of his life Helen. If you're a Wick fan, iIm sure you'll know what all that means.
Longtime John Wick director Chad Stahelski added: "I’ve always been fascinated with anime. It has always been a huge influence on me, especially with the John Wick series.
"To have the opportunity to develop a John Wick anime seems to be the perfect progression for the John Wick world.
"I feel John Wick is the perfect property for this medium – anime holds the potential to expand our world, our characters, and our action in ways unimaginable before."
Reeves also featured as John Wick in From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, which saw him star alongside Ana de Armas in last year's release.
It will be more than 12 years since he first took on the role once the anime version comes out, and we may well be in the territory now that he's more well known for this than the Matrix, which just goes to show how much of a success the franchise has been.
