Actor who played Robin Williams has now featured in movie starring as a young Jack Nicholson

"He just inhabits the man at that time"

Jamie Costa blew fans away with his impression of Robin Williams and he's since played Jack Nicholson in another short film.

In 2021, Costa posted a clip of himself to his YouTube channel titled 'ROBIN Test Footage Scene' which quickly went viral - and fans of Williams were blown away by Costa's likeness to him. Catch it below:

The clip sees Costa play Williams on the set of sitcom Mork & Mindy and shows the moment Williams finds out from Pam Dawber (Sarah Murphree) that comedian John Belushi has died - Belushi passed away in 1982 from a drug overdose.

Costa plays out Williams' reaction to the news and fans of the late Mrs Doubtfire star flocked to the post in shock over just how well Costa channelled Williams' facial expressions, physicality and simply his overall performance too.

Many fans also sent it to Williams' daughter Zelda, who later spoke out, asking people to 'stop sending' it to her.

In a post to X - formerly known as Twitter - she wrote: "Guys, I’m only saying this because I don’t think it’ll stop until I acknowledge it… please, stop sending me the 'test footage'.

Jamie Costa wowed with his impression of the late Robin Williams.

"I’ve seen it. Jamie is SUPER talented, this isn’t against him, but y’all spamming me an impression of my late Dad on one of his saddest days is weird."

Costa is now taking his 'super' talent elsewhere, starring in a short film released earlier this year, taking on the role of another actor instead.

Costa stars as Batman actor and filmmaker Jack Nicholson in short The Cowboy & The Samurai directed by Jake Lewis.

Written by Jake Lewis and Sam Lewis, the drama 'showcases the relationship between show business boys Jack Nicholson and John Belushi,' according to IMDB.

Costa has also taken on the role of Jack Nicholson.

The description continues: "They meet their match when Nicholson casts Belushi for his feature directorial debut against the advice of his producers."

And people have flooded to the short film on YouTube to weigh in on Costa's portrayal of Nicholson.

One user said: "I don’t know what it is, usually I’m all about 'if the actor doesn’t look like the person I don’t want it' but in this case he sounds exactly like Jack and it completely works."

"This is actually pretty damn good and the actor that plays Jack is frickin’ amazing. I love that he refrains from doing an impression of Nicholson, he just inhabits the man at that time.

"The voice is spot on, the 'song and dance' line was so on the money it gave me a chill. I found this short thru Jeffrey Wells/Hollywood-Elsewhere and Im so glad i did. Great work!!" Another added.

And a third resolved: "This was a great watch! Jamie Costa is a great serious impressionist/actor, without coming off as gimmicky! And Sandy did a great Belushi!"
