We all know M3GAN, right? The human-like doll that slays the dancefloor, and people that get in her way, like no-one’s business. Well, while she terrified moviegoers a few years back with her onscreen debut, she’s got an upgrade, and she’s heading back into cinemas in M3GAN 2.0.
But not before she stopped by Australian Fashion Week to remind the country’s fashion industry who really slays the catwalk — emphasis on slay.
When the killer doll strutted into Carriageworks, where Australian Fashion Week largely takes place, she didn’t immediately catch people off-guard. But, with her laser-focused stare and unapologetic barging through fashion’s elite, she quickly grabbed attention and whispers of “is that M3GAN?” began coursing through the crowd. Before long, people were shouting “M3GAN!” and photographers swarmed her, being sure to snap pics of fashion’s new it girl.
Always one to put on a show, M3GAN stood in the centre of Carriageworks and performed her iconic dance moves. She was stealing the show before models had even hit the runway. It’s hard being a global superstar killer robot, but someone’s gotta do it.

Chaperoned by her manager, M3GAN remained tight-lipped on why she was at Australian Fashion Week, refusing to answer media questions. Instead, she skulked around the crowd, staring down influencers, models, designers and more with her piercing glare, giving everyone who caught her eye unsettling fear.
Were these people scared for their life because they’ve seen what M3GAN can do, or were they intimidated by how much her look, and moves, were outserving theirs? Perhaps both.
Though M3GAN didn’t tell anyone herself why she was attending Australian Fashion Week, we can hazard a guess that it’s probably to let everyone know that she’s back in cinemas, terrorising whoever gets in her way, with M3GAN 2.0.

She won’t be scaring people at Australian Fashion Week in the movie, but she’s been rebooted, upgraded and updated since the last time we saw her on screen.
Bigger, badder and ready to slay, M3GAN 2.0 struts into cinemas on June 26th.
