Although every Oscar nominee will be hoping to leave the Dolby Theatre with an award, unfortunately, not everyone can win.

Still, they won't leave empty handed, even if they don't end up taking home a trophy - as each star will receive a goodie bag brimming with more than £100,000 worth of swag.

When are the 2025 Oscars?

Hollywood's elite will descend on the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles this Sunday (2 March) for the 97th Academy Awards, hoping to bag one of the golden figurines in honour of their hard work.

Film stars such as Timothée Chalamet, Cynthia Erivo, Zoe Saldaña, and Kieran Culkin are among those up for awards at this year's Oscars.

Nominees such as these lot will each receive a goodie bag on their way out of the door this weekend, courtesy of entertainment marketing company Distinctive Assets, which is unaffiliated with the Academy.

Why are there Oscars goodie bags?

These party favours are known as the 'Everyone Wins' gift bags, and over the years, they have been filled with a host of weird and wonderful surprises.

This year is no different - however, there is a heartwarming twist to the tradition at the 2025 Oscars, following the devastating wildfires in LA.

In a press release, Distinctive Assets founder Lash Fary explained: "While our gifts may be famous for being fun and fabulous, they also serve as a means to elevate small businesses, minority-owned brands, female entrepreneurs, and companies that give back.

"This year, on the heels of the historically tragic LA fires, we have found even more ways that our celebrity swag can do good in our community."

The recipients of these notorious goodie bags can either redeem the gift for themselves, or redirect them to a fire victim.

Lash added: "Whether they pamper themselves or share these bountiful gifts as a care package for a friend who may have recently lost their home, we give these gifts not based on the recipients’ need but out of a desire to brighten someone’s day and to acknowledge a job well done."

Wholesome stuff!

What's inside of the Oscars goodie bags this year?

At the 2025 Oscars, celebrities are being treated to an array of swanky gifts by Distinctive Assets.

Stars will open them up to find a range of luxury skincare and hair products, as well a collection of film-inspired merch and a gift card from Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

On top of this, there's an AncestryDNA kit, ArtLipo body contouring procedures, gourmet treats, t-shirts, and bizarrely, the 'choice of Illuminati membership or private live show from Carl Reads Minds'.

There's some luxury dog stuff thrown in for their pooches too, a NASA-inspired red light sleep therapy device, and a portable hammock, among other interesting bits.

Nominees are also being given a membership to Bright Harbor, a firm which is offering $1million worth of 'personalised disaster recovery support' to help those affected by the wildfires.

Similarly, LA-based building firm Maison Contractors are providing 'complimentary home renovation project management' to those who receive a goodie bag as well.

There's also a few of trips thrown in - including a five-night luxury wellness retreat in Sri Lanka from Santani, four-night stays at two luxury resorts in the Maldives, Joali Maldives and Joali Being, and a stay at the five-star Cotton House Hotel in Barcelona.

Not half bad, eh?
