An online debate started on what the ‘most disturbing shot’ in film history started, with viewers picking a ‘nightmare fuel’ horror movie.
The film, which is widely considered to be a terrifying watch by fans, is also free to watch for horror fans in the UK.
The debate led to a number of answers, with some pointing to some of the most iconic horror films around.

It started when a film fan posted to the r/Letterboxd subreddit.
The film in question is a found footage horror from 2014 starring Jill Larson, Michelle Ang, and Anne Ramsey.
It follows a documentary crew who set out to follow an older woman with Alzheimer's disease and her young daughter and record their daily routine.
As they do, however, they discover demonic secrets hidden beneath the surface.

The film, of course, is The Taking Of Deborah Logan. It sits at a whopping 92 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes with a more mixed 6/10 on IMDb.
Many, however, speak specifically about how terrified they become watching it, with one Reddit post about The Taking Of Deborah Logan saying it ‘messed them up’.
You can see what they are talking about by watching the trailer here:
They said: “It has been a very long time since I felt genuinely unnerved and disturbed by a horror movie after watching it, and this one fit the bill.”

Another commented, saying: “I really think it’s one of the most original post-Exorcist possession movies out there.
“The paralleling of the dementia progression with the demonic possession was genius.”
Meanwhile, someone else said they'd thrown it on as they 'hadn't really heard anything about it', adding: "I assumed it was going to be "ahhh spooky ghosts" or something, but boy, that ending sure threw me off."
The specific shot provided as the example of the most disturbing in film history is an unsettling one.

The shot shows Deborah Logan fully possessed by a demon chomping down on a little girl’s head.
The scene is a massive shock for fans watching the film and is deeply graphic. Despite this moment being a horrific shock to the audience, it isn’t even the biggest twist in the movie.
Without spoiling the twist exactly, one fan on YouTube raved about how unexpected it is.
They said: “My favourite horror film in terms of actually making me feel all the negative emotions lol scared, disturbed, nauseated, anxious, stressed, angry, heartbroken, uncomfortable and horrified. Love it.

"The final reveal at the end is the most horrific reveal in my experience with horror. It's so dead silent and then you see the shocking reveal and my jaw hits the floor.”
In great news for horror fans in the UK, you are actually able to see the film for free as Tubi have The Taking of Deborah Logan, as well as a number of other iconic horrors like the original Candyman.
