First Look At Tom Hanks In Disney's Live-Action Pinocchio

Disney has released the first teaser for the new live-action remake of Pinocchio featuring Tom Hanks in the role of the woodcarver Geppetto.

Set to be released later this year, Pinocchio also stars Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as the puppet who comes to life and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket.

The trailer shows Hanks with curly white hair and a moustache making a wish upon the stars, before a little magic makes his dream come true and sends the woodmaker on a whole new adventure.

Cynthia Erivo stars as the Blue Fairy who answers Geppetto's wish to make Pinocchio a real boy, while Keegan-Michael Key has been cast as 'Honest' John, a character who has a bad influence over young Pinocchio.
