First trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has been released

We finally get to see Harrison Ford's final film as the iconic archeologist.

The first trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has finally been released.

The fifth instalment to the incredible movie franchise sees Harrison Ford put on his archeological gear and legendary whip once again for the last time.

The trailer was aired during Disney's CCXP expo, where big-name studios like 20th Century Studios, Disney, Disney Animation, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios and Pixar all give updates on what people can expect to see in the future.

The crowd went wild when a snippet of Ford back as Indiana Jones was played in a sizzle reel for Disney's upcoming films.

But, they went a step further and released a whole trailer for Indiana Jones 5.

And, honestly, it looks absolutely wild.

Indy will fight Nazis in the fifth instalment and it looks like he's going back in time to the 1960s to do it.

Disney has managed to dramatically de-age the 80-year-old actor to what he looked like a few decades ago and it looks incredible.

We get to see him riding a horse through a huge US parade, as well as Mads Mikkelsen looking very villainous in his role.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge stars as the female lead in the movie and Harrison Ford had nothing but praise for the Fleabag actor.

At thee D23 expo earlier this year, the first footage of the film was released and it was certainly an emotional moment for the movie's lead star.

As the trailer ended, the crowd applaud as the American actor told fans about the latest instalment of Indiana Jones.

He said: “Indiana Jones movies are about fantasy and mystery, but they’re also about heart.

“We have a really great story to tell, as well as a movie that will kick your ass.”

With a lump in his throat, Ford praised the work of his on-screen colleague Phoebe Waller-Bridge. He told fans: “Thank you for making these films such an incredible experience for all of us.

“I’m very proud to say to say that this one is fantastic. [He pointed at Waller-Bridge]. And this is one of the reasons.”

Sadly, Ford also alluded to this latest Indiana Jones instalment being the last time he will comprise the role, saying: “This is it. I will not fall down for you again. But thank you so much.”

Co-star Waller-Bridge also seems excited for Indiana Jones 5, saying she feels incredibly lucky to be a part of it.

She said: “I had the time of my life making this movie. I feel so incredibly lucky and keeping up with this guy [points at Ford] is exhausting.”
