Netflix has dropped a creepy teaser for the upcoming horror series Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen.

Ever had that horrible feeling that something terrible is lurking around the corner and you just can't seem to shake it? Well, that's what Haley Z. Boston's new eight-part Netflix series starring Camila Morrone and Adam DiMarco is all about.

Alongside director Weronika Tofilska (Baby Reindeer) and the Duffer Brothers of Stranger Things, Boston's new horror series follows the story of a young couple preparing to say 'I Do' – only the bride is paranoid that getting hitched may very well be a grave mistake.

Billed as the marriage equivalent of Carrie and Rosemary’s Baby, the initial teaser sees bride-to-be Rachel (Morrone) appearing completely unsettled as she approaches what is supposed to be the best day of her life, her wedding to fiancé Nicky (DiMarco).

The one-minute teaser shows Rachel preparing to walk down the aisle, interlaced with various unnerving visuals, characters flashing creepy smiles, and numerous people uttering 'I'm sorry' over and over again.

"Are you sure he's the one," a voice is then heard asking Rachel as she's seen standing before her husband-to-be at the altar.

Watch the teaser below:

"I love horror. It’s natural to me, [it’s how] I process my own emotions and feelings and my own understanding of the world,” Boston previously told Tudum of the project. "I think horror allows you to explore taboo feelings and take all of these fears and give them some bite."

Boston also shared an insight into her inspiration for the show, revealing it came from conversations she'd have with her mother about marriage as a child.

"When I was a kid, my mom said to me, ‘You just need to make sure you don’t marry the wrong person," she said. "The show is about the fear of marrying the wrong person."

Add Baby Reindeer's Tofilska as one of the three directors, alongside Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann, and with input from Matt and Ross Duffer, Netflix is surely going to have a hit on their hands – with initial reactions looking promising.

"Based on the title and the lead actors' previous work, expect an atmospheric, psychological thriller or a dark prestige drama," read one reaction, while a second person wrote: "This teaser has serious wedding horror energy. I'll be watching."

"Now that's something exciting and thrilling. Can't wait to watch," added a third.

All eight episodes of Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen will premiere on Netflix on 26 March.
