A French TV show gathered a bunch of people with unusual laughs and asked them to sit together on stage, which ended pretty much how you’d probably imagine. I dare you to watch this clip without laughing:

The segment from the show C'est Mon Choix has the incredible title of ‘mon rire ne passe pas inapercu’ which translates to ‘my laugh does not go unnoticed’ and it very quickly becomes clear why. All of the people featured had one important thing in common: their somewhat bizarre laughs.

In the clip we can see several people sat on stage in front of a live studio audience, but it’s fairly difficult to understand any of what’s going on. This isn't just because it’s in French and 'je ne parle pas français', but because throughout the entire segment there’s a non-stop stream of unusual laughs - with honks, squeaks, shrieks and even a few pig-style snorts thrown in for good measure.

The infectious nature of the laughs means that there’s no break from the din as they all set each other off laughing again as soon as one stops; even the host Évelyne Thomas can’t hold back her own, slightly more sedate, laugh as she attempts to talk to someone in the audience.

A clip of the segment recently resurfaced online where it has been viewed more than 5.6 million times, retweeted more than 40,0000 times and attracted plenty of comments from people who were laughing every bit as hard as those in the original video.

Responding to the video, one person commented: “Ambulance needed - many ribs cracked, nearly threw up. That is, hands down, without a shadow of a doubt, the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. I’m almost gutted I’ve seen it now, cause I know it won’t get any better.”

Even host Évelyne Thomas couldn't stop laughing.

Another wrote: “This builds from mildly amusing to one of the greatest comedy climaxes I can remember. Pure joy.”

Someone else said: “Sometimes we all need a bit of a laugh. No matter how bad things might be, I challenge you not to raise a smile watching this…”

While a fourth pointed out this very spot-on similarity: “This literally sounds like the background conversations in the cantina scene in Star Wars.”

Even Channel 5 newsreader Dan Walker got involved, sharing the clip alongside the message: “Dear TV Execs, half an hour of this please. Every week. Forever.”

I would 100 percent watch that, Dan, I reckon you’re on to something here.
