It's Monday, the sky is grey, and we're getting choked up over all the Friends stars that have sadly passed away.

More than 18 years after the hit show ended, fans are still remembering the incredible comedians that contributed to its success.

Tyler played Gunther on the show.

James Michael Tyler

First up on our incredibly sad but talented list is none other than Gunther himself.

You know, the reliable barista, played by James Michael Tyler, whose love for Rachel knew no bounds.

The actor sadly died from prostate cancer in 2021 and was mourned by his co-stars online. Jennifer Aniston wrote a touching tribute to he on-screen friend: "Friends would not have been the same without you. Thank you for the laughter you brought to the show and to all of our lives. You will be so missed."

While Courteney Cox added: "The size of gratitude you brought into the room and showed every day on set is the size of the gratitude I hold for having known you. Rest In peace James."

However Tyler wasn't the only fan favourite to have sadly passed away in recent years...

In fact, Rachel's father, Dr. Leonard Green, played by Ron Leibman passed away in 2019, at the age of 82.

Leibman appeared in four episodes of friends and was also known for his incredible work on Broadway. He passed away after suffering complications from pneumonia.

Conchata Ferrell

Another star that was in the series for a short while but left a massive mark was The Judge, played by Conchata Ferrell, who refused to grant Rachel and Ross an annulment after the Las Vegas wedding.

Who can forget the 'One in Vegas' when the on and off again couple drunkenly tie the know, and end up immediately regretting it?

The tough but fair Judge that presides over their case was played by Ferrell who died in 2020, after suffering from heart issues.

Another star from one of our favourite episodes is Allesandro played by Taylor Negron.

Who can forget the episode when Allesandro comes down to Monica's after she wrote a bad review of his restaurant?

Initially furious, the owner tastes Monica's incredible food and soon changes his mind asking her to be his head chef.

It's a massive moment marking Monica's big break but, sadly Negron died of liver cancer in 2015 at the age of 57.

And thus concludes one of the saddest lists we've ever compiled, but the incredible actors really did help us through a hangover or two.
