Your Rare Retro Games Could Make You A Lot Of Money

It'd be like selling your childhood, though.

As much as you probably don't want to get rid of your old consoles and games, you might have to cut your losses and eventually sell them.

Even though there would be a gaping hole left in your childhood, it might not be such a loss.

A site called Racket Boy tells you just how much your rare retro games will cost, so if you're still hoarding your Sega Mega Drive, you might be sitting on a gold mine.

Rare games like Tetris for the Mega Drive will go for anywhere between $3,000 and $16,000. Which isn't bad for a couple of falling bricks.

Genesis Blockbuster World Video Game Championships II will go for an impressive $2,500.

A Phantom 2049 Box Set could be sold for around $900, but the box would likely have to be in mint condition.

Everyone's favourite dolphin, Ecco the Dolphin Limited Edition will go for up to $1,300.

If you were more into superheroes and owned Batman Forever or Justice League then you could be looking at $700 - the same amount WWF Raw could get you.

If, when you were growing up, you were more of a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) gamer, then fret not. Blow the dust off your old games and see if you can uncover a hidden gem.

If you were lucky enough to be one of the 26 people to own the 1990 Nintendo World Championships: Gold Edition game, then there's between $15,000 - $21,000 sitting in your lap.

Unfortunately, everybody's favourite console, the Nintendo 64, isn't as rare as the two aforementioned consoles. However, International Superstar Soccer 2000 will get you a nice sum of $65. Which isn't bad considering just about everybody had a copy of it.

Go and have a check to see if you have any of these!
