GTA 6 gameplay footage has fans saying we're in for an 'incredible' experience

The GTA 6 Hypetrain is now in full motion

Since the recent news of Rockstar delaying the release of GTA 6, social media has been ablaze with theories and debates on what to expect from the upcoming game.

Not only has the release of the second GTA 6 trailer got fans trying to work out how GTA 6 will end ahead of its release, it's also got them inspecting every frame to see if they can separate the cutscenes from the actual gameplay footage.

The trailer (which, if you haven't seen yet, you can check out below), offers fans of the series an impressive glimpse into the game, with level of detail unlike anything seen before.

The hype came shortly after Rockstar posted on X letting fans know that the 'Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, comprised of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes'.

This caused fans to start dissecting the trailer to see if they could work out which parts of the game are taken from actual gameplay footage.

Reddit user 44penfold took to the platform to share screenshots of what they thought were cutscenes and gameplay. They even made a column for scenes they weren't so sure about, encouraging other Reddit users to chip and and share their thoughts.

Their take on what they believe is gameplay does seem to match up with what Rockstar have said - that 50 percent of the trailer's footage is gameplay.

In an even more impressive attempt to pick apart the gameplay from the cutscenes, Reddit user piemack managed to create a 'cutscenes vs gameplay' video, helping highlight the exact moments they believe are captured from in-game footage on a PS5.

Of course, all of this is just speculation at the moment, with Rockstar not actually giving any kind of indication as to whether fans have got it right or not yet.

But, X user @SynthPotato, had a good point while uploading this frankly hilarious video to X, saying: "People don't realize due to the fact ALL cut scenes in Rockstar games run in-game, you can do hilarious stuff like this lmao."

One thing GTA all fans seem to agree on: Rockstar games look incredible during cutscenes and in-game, and generally tend to look even better than their trailers at launch. If the company manage to continue this trend, it's looking pretty clear that GTA 6 is going to be one of the best looking games in gaming history.

GTA 6 is set to release in autumn 2025.
