After all this time waiting, GTA 6 is finally starting to feel like it’s within reach.
Earlier on, the prices for the iconic game were released ahead of pre-orders going live in just hours’ time. In the UK, the standard game is priced at about £60 with the Ultimate Edition at roughly £75, with gamers warned to watch out for scams.
Some fans are disappointed that the game won’t be available as a physical disc when it releases on 19 November. And while PC gamers are set to be left out, it’s said that millions of other gamers are set for a ‘worse experience’ of GTA 6.
This comes as creator Rockstar Games has pretty much confirmed the supposed winner in the unofficial competition between PS5 and Xbox.
Advert
An official post on the PlayStation Blog was shared by both Rockstar and Mary Yee, the Senior Vice President, Marketing, at Sony Interactive Entertainment.
And this claims that the two companies will be working together to ‘deliver the best experience on PS5’.
“Thanks to the close partnership between Sony Interactive Entertainment and Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto VI will play best on PS5 by taking advantage of PS5’s immersive features to deliver a deeply engaging single-player experience when it launches on November 19,” the blog says.
It lays out the various ways PS5 will apparently have the ‘best experience’ such as the DualSense wireless controller allowing for the ‘sights, sounds, and sensations of Jason and Lucia’s story’ to be in the palms of players’ hands.

“The controller’s haptic feedback offers responsive vibrations, while its adaptive triggers provide dynamic resistance,” it continues.
“The controller’s integrated speaker also adds another dimension to key moments and interactions, with sound effects from the controller enhanced by haptic feedback.”
Sony also boasts that the Tempest 3D AudioTech will allow players to be surrounded in the ‘distinct soundscapes’ with ‘highly accurate audio positioning’ helping to bring the ‘world to life around you in unmatched ways’.
PC gamers excluded
It’s been reported for quite some time now that many gamers would be left out from the release on 19 November.
And it does seem that those fears have come true as PC users won’t be joining Xbox and PlayStation gamers this year.
We can look back to GTA 5 which released on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013 but not on PC until April 2015.
The confirmed release date for November did not mention the PC edition, and there’s simply no news on when it will be released. And it’s also currently unknown whether it will come to Nintendo Switch 2 either.
