Have you ever dreamt of becoming a pro-gamer? Whether it’s watching your favourite streamer and thinking shyly to yourself “I could do that” or watching the adrenaline fuelled antics of an epic esports competition and wishing you could be part of the action, there is no denying that competitive gaming has absolutely exploded in Ireland in recent years.

From sports to shooters, the rapidly rising gaming profession is a pipe dream for many players, but a path and ambition that still seems out of reach for those of us without the set-up or pro skills to get started. Well, not anymore.

Introducing Red Bull Mobile Esports Open, an esports tournament that’s open to gamers of ALL levels and encourages amateur mobile gamers to rub shoulders with some of Ireland’s best esport pros. And all it takes to enter is a mobile phone. Sounds good, right?

Now in its sixth season, Red Bull M.E.O sees players from over 30 countries compete for a shot at incredible prizes and of course, glory. Red Bull are actively seeking Irish recruits to register now via RedBull.IE/MEO.

Red Bull M.E.O. is a free competition, open to participants from all levels, and is a rare opportunity for casual mobile gamers to take on the pros. Proven hugely popular internationally, this is the first year that the competition will be open to Irish gamers so do not miss your chance to take-part.

The Irish Qualifying rounds are split into two Online Qualifiers followed by a National Final, and gamers can choose between two iconic mobile games, Clash Royale and PUBG Mobile.

The Irish Qualifier dates are:

  • January 13th: Clash Royale Qualifier 1
  • January 14th: PUBG Mobile Qualifier 1
  • January 20th: PUBG Mobile Qualifier 2
  • January 21st: Clash Royale Qualifier 2

The top four duos playing PUGB Mobile and the top four Clash Royale players from each qualifier will gain a coveted spot at the Live Finals in The Sugar Club, Dublin, where they’ll face off to win epic prizes and claim the Red Bull M.E.O. title in its first season in Ireland.

So what are you waiting for? It’s time to take those gaming dreams and turn them into a reality thanks to Red Bull.

Red Bull M.E.O., the largest mobile esports competition in the world is coming to Ireland, featuring two major gaming titles: Clash Royale and PUBG Mobile - and is officially open for entries.

Sign up to one of the four Irish qualifiers taking place on the 13th, 14th, 20th & 21st of January. The top 4 teams or players from each qualifier will earn themselves a spot at the grand final in the Sugar Club, Dublin on January 27th, 2024, with the ultimate victors of each game earning themselves their choice of a flagship smartphone or €1,000 in cash per player!
