Music fans watching Glastonbury have been left complaining after watching the Arctic Monkeys perform some of their most iconic tracks.

The popular band returned to the Glastonbury stage for the third time during their musical career, performing popular tracks like 'Do I Wanna Know?' and 'Crying Lightening' to thousands of fans gathered at Worthy Farm.

Alex Turner had to cancel a gig earlier this week after falling ill.

The crowd could be seen cheering and singing along to the tracks, though some have been left questioning the quality of Turner's voice as he made his way through the setlist.

As he arrived at the song 'Fluorescent Adolescent', one person tweeted: "Kidding me right? What happened to his voice, this is the worst set I have ever heard."

Any disruption in the quality of Turner's voice could be forgiven considering the frontman had to cancel a gig in Dublin on Tuesday (20 June) after being struck down with an illness, leading to some fears that they might cancel the gig at Glastonbury entirely.

The quality of Turner's voice isn't the only complaint viewers had during the band's set, though.

Festvial-goers at Glastonbury could be heard cheering with delight when the 'Fluorescent Adolescent' began, but viewers at home soon started to point out there was something unusual about the track.

Fans have complained the songs are too slow.

Fans have called out the performance for being 'too slow', with one writing: "He's even singing fluorescent adolescent too slow AAAAGHHHH."

Another fan questioned, "What have they done to Fluorescent Adolescent?," to which one responded: "Alex turner looks bored signing [sic] it. Slowed it so much so people can’t sing to it."

Fans had a similar complaint about the track 'Mardy Bum', as one tweeted: "I feel sorry for matt the drummer. Having to play mardy bum that slow must be soul destroying."

"Why do they slow down Mardy Bum live now? It’s so much better upbeat," wrote another.

The 'slow' versions of the song have left fans disappointed with the set as a whole.

"Really, really, really, really disappointing set by #ArcticMonkeys," one fan wrote. "Got some of the best songs ever and it’s been so slow and sh*t so far - you’re at #glastonbury. Not a patch on their early performances back in the day."

The band are the first headliners of this weekend's festivities, with Guns n Roses and Elton John set to take over the Pyramid Stage over the next couple of days, with Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi, Lil Nas X and Blondie also among those who will also be entertaining the masses at the event.
