Gordon Ramsay defends Brooklyn Beckham following ‘raw’ beef video

The famous British chef has defended the aspiring chef's controversial video

The famed British chef has come to the defence of Brooklyn Beckham's botched beef.

Gordon Ramsay, 56, stuck up for the 23-year-old who received criticism over his recent career-change into the world of cheffing.

Beckham took to Instagram last week (January 6), to share a video reel of him making his rendition of the British classic - a Sunday roast.

With over 4.2 million views, 232k likes and thousands of comments, it's clear that many were eager to share their opinions on the latest of Beckham's culinary efforts.

"In conclusion: butter," one person posted - commenting on the two huge blocks of butter that went into basting the beef.

A second also had a bone to pick with Beckham's butter usage, writing: "That’s just a reckless amount of butter for that much meat."

People mocked Beckham's beef for being "raw".

Another chimed in with: "Might as well bite the cow while it’s grazing."

And this isn't the first time Beckham has been mocked for his cooking videos.

Whether it was a gin and tonic, a salad or an English breakfast sandwich, the 23-year-old has been widely criticised for the content he's put out surrounding his new-found hobby-stroke-passion.

However, an unlikely candidate has stepped up to defend Beckham and his cooking skills, reports the Daily Mail.

None other than Gordon Ramsay has run to his defence stating: "Brooklyn has grown up with my kids and is the son of dear friends of ours. I haven't seen the video of his supposedly 'raw' beef."

The Hell's Kitchen chef continued: "But even as a 12-year-old, whilst playing football, Brooklyn was always excited about food. So I'm pleased that he's gone down that road and he's found something he really enjoys doing."

Delving into the life of being the child of two celebrity parents, Ramsay added: "It's hard, isn't it? Because he didn't ask for that level of intrusion from having famous parents.

"It probably came off a certain way, but it's not his fault. So I have no issues against it. I'm excited. We have another chef joining the mix," the Kitchen Nightmares star concluded.

While some still didn't totally agree with how the meat was cooked, they too defended the 23-year-old and his new passion of cooking.

"A bit too raw for my taste but JESUS the amount of people sitting and having nothing better to do than to comment on a 20-something year old’s post of cooking something and clearly being passionate about it is disgusting.

"What have you done recently that was remotely productive? Get a life people and let the young lad enjoy life (unlike some of you)," they tweeted.
