What do the songs Like A Virgin, We Are Family, Let’s Dance and Get Lucky have in common?

The answer - apart from the fact that they’re all absolute bangers - is Nile Rodgers. The man is a living legend who has written, produced and performed on songs that have sold hundreds of millions of copies over his 50-year-career.

With his stellar back catalogue and a long list of famous musicians on speed dial, this man must host an absolutely epic jam session. Based in Connecticut, Rodgers travels across the globe for recording sessions with artists. And, recently he found himself in London, organising a jam with his band Chic and the soulful singers from the House Gospel Choir.

With these artists scattered across London, each of them arrived at the studio using a different mode of transport, booked through the FREE NOW app.

Wherever you are and wherever you want to go, you can see all the nearby options and decide how you want to get there.

FREE NOW is Europe’s leading multi-mobility app. It is also helping to support British and Irish musicians this year as headline sponsor of the 2022 Mercury Prize with FREE NOW. The winner announcement of ‘Album of the Year’ will take place on 8th September.

Nile Rodgers is a frequent user of FREE NOW when he visits London and arrives at the studio in a black cab he’s booked using the app.

The jam kicks off and House Gospel Choir slide seamlessly into a rhythm with Nile and the Chic band.

The singers from Chic waltz into the session to lay some of their infamous vocals onto the track and add that finishing flourish to the already catchy tune.

So if you’re traveling around London, get there your way with FREE NOW. Download the app and start traveling today: Watch here.
