The half-term break is a good opportunity for families to get away and enjoy a bit of sunshine, but that can be tricky in October with the weather in the UK.
As a result, Rob Adcock decided to treat his partner and two children to half term in China. Yep, China.
Forget the traditional week in Blackpool or Skegness, the TikToker decided an adventure on the other side of the world was in order.
And what's even more remarkable is Rob managed to do the trip for cheaper than a week in London.

Ahead of the October half term, the content creator planned on taking his three-year-old and eight-year-old for a trip to the capital, but he soon realised the huge costs.
So, Rob decided to scour the web for some cheap flights and uncovered a stellar deal to China.
'We've paid more to go to Spain'
Flying from the UK to Sanya via Shanghai, Rob managed to grab return flights at £361 per person, meaning travel costs totalled a reasonable £1,442.
"You're flying to the other side of the world, it's quite unbelievable," Rob told LADbible.
"We've paid more than that to go to Spain in the summer," he added.

Rob then uncovered a five-star hotel on Hainan Island that cost just £162 per night, £648 for a four-night stay.
Remarkably, the package included all food aside from the evening meal, as well as a lot of entertainment to keep the family busy.
"You've got the water park, you've got the aquarium included, you've got your breakfast included, you've got a minibar. You're not spending anything," the TikToker stated.
With basically everything included in the China hotel stay, Rob revealed to LADbible that he spent just a further £205 on the meals not included in the hotel stay, snacks, and travel while his family was staying on the Chinese coast.
So, the grand total for the stay in China came to £1,995 - but surely London would be much cheaper?

Is London affordable for the family during half term?
The capital typically ranks as the most expensive city in Europe, so it's hardly surprising to see a four-night stay in the heart of London during the October half term being pricey.
Nonetheless, Rob was shocked to find a four-night stay in a 3-star budget hotel totalling upwards of £700, while if he'd treated himself to a 5-star hotel, similar in stature to the one in China, he would have been looking at roughly the same price for just a one-night stay.
Now, here comes the expensive part, Rob uncovered four anytime return train tickets from Stoke-on-Trent to London would set him back an eye-watering £800.
The content creator explained in a recent video that even off-peak return tickets for his family would have close to £300.
Obviously, Rob didn't actually go to London as he spent half term in China instead, as you do.
As part of the comparison, Rob budgeted £250 a day for his family in the capital, which would include all meals, transport within the city, as well as all the activities.
Over five days, that equates to £1,250.
"I’ve tried to base it on reasonable assumptions about what we’d actually spend as a family of four visiting London during half term, rather than deliberately choosing the most expensive options to make China look better," Rob explained to LADbible.
Remarkably, the travel guru believes he would have spent a total of £2,750 for a trip to London during half term.
Is flying to China cheaper than a trip to London during half term?
Yes, it somehow is.
Rob staggeringly saved £755 flying to China with his wife and two children, compared to spending it in London.
And even if the Brit had opted for an off-peak return on the trains, he still would have saved over £200 going to the other side of the world.
Furthermore, Rob revealed it was a whopping 32°C in China. You're not getting that in London in October, are you?
