Hugh Grant admits to 'losing his temper' at a stranger on set of new movie

Hugh Grant might be known for his charming onscreen persona, but he's admitted he wasn't always the perfect gentleman while on the set of his upcoming movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.
To be fair, there's probably a lot of high pressure situations involved when you have to deal with not only dungeons, but also thieves AND dragons.
Grant plays a character named Forge Fitzwilliam, aka The Rogue, in the movie, which Grant has admitted is 'about losers'.
In an interview with Collider at Brazil's Comic-Con Experience last year, he added: "This little band of comrades, they're all a bit crap... And I responded to that loser-ish thing about this little band. Maybe that's an English predilection. We love a loser."
Still, in spite of Grant's excitement to be involved with all of these losers, he admitted more recently that he had 'a couple of tantrums' while on set.
Speaking to Total Film, he explained: "I lost my temper with a woman in my eyeline on day one. I assumed she was some executive from the studio who should have known better."
Unfortunately, Grant's assumptions were far from the reality.
He continued: "Then it turns out that she’s an extremely nice local woman who was the chaperone of the young girl. Terrible. A lot of grovelling..."
It's unclear whether the woman forgave the actor for his outburst, but Grant has previously admitted to having a habit of losing his temper, telling Vanity Fair it's basically an annual occurrence.
"About once a year, I have a really mega-tantrum," he said.
Hopefully the fantasy fun that is Dungeons and Dragons soon dispelled Grant's anger, with his co-star Pine praising the game for being accessible to everyone.
“If there’s one game that should be played in every single high school across the nation, it should be D&D," he said during the appearance at Comic-Con.
"You can get the bully and the jock—of course I only speak in John Hughes terms—all in one room and I guarantee you in 20 minutes they won’t remember who the bully is or who the dork is. They’ll just want to have a good time.”
Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves is set to be released in the UK on 31 March 2023.
