Hugh Jackman wears full Wolverine look to send special message to fan

Hugh Jackman has been praised on social media after sending the sweetest message to a fan.

For millions across the world, Hugh Jackman is the iconic X-Men character Wolverine first, and an Aussie actor second.

Also known for being one of Hollywood's nicest guys, Jackman has once again outdone himself by sending a heartfelt message to a fan struggling with an unnamed ailment.

You will be disappointed if you expected him to be wearing yellow spandex, as he is set to in the upcoming Deadpool 3 film, or even his original early 2000s X-men leather jacket attire, however.

His nod to the iconic adamantium-clawed mutant was pointed out by many eagle-eyed viewers on Instagram.

Many took this to mean that Jackman did this as a small favor to the unidentified fan, or that he is currently back to filming the upcoming Deadpool film.

Anyway, in the message to the fan, Jackman sports the hair curl and same facial hair he rocked while playing the character.

While this was a sweet gesture, his words were even more touching.

“Damon, g'day mate, it is Hugh Jackman here,” the actor began in the video.

“I just wanted to send a message from me to you and I wanted to say that I think you are incredible.

“I hope you are leaning on all the love and all the care and all the attention you are getting from your family, friends and everyone who is looking after you and also from me.

“You are an inspiration, and I am just sending all my love and strength and all my thoughts, okay. Hang in there man, you are amazing.”

Instagram users were quick to praise the actor and also offer their support to Damon.

“You are the best Hugh! What a sweet gesture! This is why we love you. I’m sure Damon will be over the moon!” one user wrote.

“Love to you Damon! You’re a warrior. Thank you for bringing awareness to the little warriors of this world Hugh,” another fan added.

It is clear the actor intentionally didn’t specify the details of what Damon is currently going through, but I'd wager he appreciates all the support. Here's to hoping he stays strong!
