People are wondering why Inbetweeners scene where they talk about their summer holidays was deleted

Fans can't understand why it never made the final edit of the hit comedy

A clip has resurfaced of a deleted scene from The Inbetweeners, and fans are wondering why. See what you think:

The hit series remains to this day one of the most popular sitcoms of the past 20 years, and the perfect antidote to the hangover lethargy. It has saved me more times than I care to remember.

Well, a deleted scene is currently doing the rounds on TikTok, which has left people confused as to why it was cast to the cutting room floor in the edit.

In the clip, which seems to be from the first episode of the third and final season, the lads can be seen sitting in their common room on the first day back at school.

And as was often/always the case, Will is getting a load of grief from Simon, Jay and Neil about his faecal faux-pas at the end of the second series.

The scene was cut from the first episode of season three.

The scene has everything, including some outlandish claims from Jay about having spent the summer training at a 'Thai kickboxing training camp' and Simon professing yet again his love for Carli.

It culminates in Neil lobbing a plate against the wall after being told by Jay it is some sort of tradition, which, of course, it is not, and he is rewarded with the first detention of the year from Gilbert.

Some of those in the comments questioned the reasoning behind it not making the final cut.

Oner user said: "Don't know why this was taken out tbh, I think it's great."

Another chimed in: "Causally throws the plate."

"This was cut out?" asked another confused fan. While someone else added: "Shouldn't have been deleted."

It's not the only one to have been doing the rounds, though.

A deleted scene from The Inbetweeners Movie was shared online recently, with people saying it absolutely should've made it into the final film.

Fans were fuming after finding out this scene was cut from the movie.

In the scene, Will and Simon make their way down the strip when they see a rowdy crowd cheering on a sesh.

As the boys go to check out the source of the madness, they're met with a shirtless Mr. Gilbert, standing on a table and chugging litres of beer, which to be fair is how we imagine most sixth form teachers spend a Saturday.

Gilbert, approachable as ever, mimes for the lads to stay quiet before gesturing that he'll slit their throat if they say anything.

Understandably they leave, with Will adding, "Well, at least somebody is enjoying themselves."

Naturally, fans went into a frenzy for the clip, asking why it was axed from the film.

One user said: "So they took out the funny bits of the film lol."

While another speculated: "Fun fact: this was a regular Tuesday for Greg Davies."
