Does House of the Dragon episode 1 have a post credits scene?

Game Of Thrones fans are wondering if prequel House Of The Dragon will have a post credits scene

House Of The Dragon will be hitting our screens very soon, and fans are wondering how much of a tease the show will be.

The prequel to Game Of Thrones, House Of The Dragon is set some 300 years earlier and stars the likes of Matt Smith.

We can watch it in the UK from 2am on August 22, on Sky Atlantic or Now TV, but viewers are wondering if we’ll get a sneak preview of what comes after.

Thanks to the likes of Marvel, we’ve all become used to post-credit scenes, and HBO has been ramping up the excitement for the new series with several trailers and sneak previews.

Will there be a post credits scene for House Of The Dragon?

Fans were disheartened to find out that the Game Of Thrones prequel is being released on a weekly basis, so they can’t binge watch the whole thing in one go.

The one good thing about staggered releases is the excitement and anticipation of what’s going to happen next. Many fans are wondering if there will be post-credit scenes to give a hint about what’s coming next.

Initial reviews of the pilot episode have been very promising, saying the show will rival Game Of Thrones and Breaking Bad, but nobody who has seen the first episode for review purposes has mentioned a post-credits scene.

That’s not to say there won’t be one, as often review versions for the press aren’t identical to what ends up airing. Game Of Thrones didn’t use end credit scenes, and many fans were annoyed that the divisive finale didn’t have one.

House of the Dragon is out soon, and focuses on the ancestors of Daenerys Targaryen.

The show was adapted from author George RR Martin’s Fire & Blood novel.

Fans haven't got too much longer to wait to find out if there's a post credit scene, or whether they really will have to be patient and wait week by week.
