Furious comedian responded after losing it with heckler before grabbing friend’s phone to expose text messages

Natalie Cuomo made it clear she doesn't suffer fools gladly

A furious comedian who lost her cool with a heckler shared a scathing response after footage of her 'meltdown' went viral online.

Natalie Cuomo clearly wasn't ready to let bygones be bygones in the weeks that followed her on-stage spat with a member of the crowd at one of her shows in Washington D.C earlier this year.

Back in February, the funnywoman shared a video to TikTok - which has since racked up a whopping 1.8million views - that captured her fiery war of words with a bloke in the audience.

According to Cuomo, a fan who had a front row seat to her set 'decided to let his true colours shine' after she jokingly suggested he was in a relationship with his male friend.

He apparently wasn't keen on this kind of comedy and ended up verbally laying into her, saying: "It's not my fault that you don't have material."

The unidentified man then took things up a notch by adding: "I can roast you too. You can't roast all of us and get nothing."

Cuomo initially remained quite calm, but she ended up blowing her lid moments after the fella offered to 'take her mic'.

She claims that all this commotion came just moments after she had told the crowd 'how grateful she was for everyone being there and selling out the show', hence why the heckler's comments stung so much.

Briefly derailing her comedy show, Cuomo told the man: "There's so many people coming together to be supportive and you’re putting negative...no, look me in the eyes!"

Crouching down on-stage to meet his eye level, the comedian continued: "You’re putting negative f***ing energy out there! This is the last show of my f***ing weekend, look me in the f***ing eyes!

"It’s a sold-out show and you want to say mean s*** to me? Don’t f***ing do that!"

The audience member in question ended up leaving, but his mate in the front row stayed put - and then ended up showing Cuomo a text he'd received from his disgruntled pal, calling her a 'f**king clown'.

She then sent the heckler a selfie back showing her flipping the bird, so as you can imagine, the drama-filled video quickly blew up on social media.

Cuomo, who was a finalist in New York Comedy Festival’s 'New York’s Funniest' Competition in 2024, later offered her 491,500 followers another tidbit of information about the heckler.

She revealed that his pal was 'really embarrassed' about his behaviour and apologised after the show, while explaining that it was only 'their first time hanging out'.

And a couple of weeks after her showdown with the mischief maker in Washington, Cuomo decided to incorporate the viral moment into a few of her sets.

Take a look at the original spat here - but beware, the footage does contain explicit language:

In one show, Cuomo decided to lean into the controversy surrounding Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori's bare-ars*d strut down the red carpet at this year's Grammy Awards.

The comedy star told the crowd: "Did anyone see me having a meltdown recently online? So don't mess with me! Actually, please don't mess with me.

"I actually have the same agent as Kanye and they only dropped one of us, so."

In the caption of the clip, she added in reference to the rapper's bold fashion choices: "At least I didn't make my husband walk the red carpet with his [penis] out."

In another set, Cuomo cracked another eyebrow-raising joke about her encounter with the heckler.

"It's just so ironic that I went viral for saying, 'Look me in the eyes,' when my husband is autistic," she said in the clip. "I'm getting death threats online.

"All these guys are saying they want to finish me...I'm used to men saying they want to finish on me."

Her crude gags received a mixed reaction online, although people did heap praise on Cuomo for how she handled the heckler and told her: "All publicity is good publicity."

One person said: "That husband joke was awesome lol."

Another laughed: "I thought your response was awesome."

A third unamused viewer wrote: "People think this is funny?"

A fourth added: "Imagine sulking over someone heckling you."

While a fifth chimed in saying: "Good job letting it roll off your back and creating good material out of the experience."
