The long wait is over. A Geordie has finally entered the villa in the shape of Jazmine Nichol. 

Contestants from Newcastle have a good track record of spicing things up on Love Island.

In fact, in 2019 it was Newcastle-based beauty therapist Amber Gill who went on to win the competition. It’s no surprise, then, that fans are now eager to discover whether Jazmine will have a similar impact on the show. 

Entering the programme during Casa Amor means that Jazmine will have to act quickly and grab somebody’s attention soon if she is to stay in the show

What Is Jazmine Nichol's Job?

Jazmine Nichol is a nightclub manager and on her Instagram you can see lots of snaps of her dressed up and ready for a night out.


In addition to contributing to Newcastle’s notorious nightlife, Jazmine does fashion modelling. This job has seen her do a lot of shoots for Pink Boutique in particular. 

This area of work adds Jazmine to the long line of Love Island models; a list which includes this year’s Tasha Ghouri who works for the likes of ASOS.

What Has Jazmine Said About Love Island?

The 21-year-old contestant has already laid her cards on the table, stating that ‘humour’s the biggest thing for me in a partner.’ She even claimed: ‘‘I never go for looks and I don’t have a type at all.’

For these reasons, she has whittled her current favourites down to Jacques, Jay and Davide, based on their charming personalities. 

On her TikTok, she can be seen making fun of her current misfortune in the love-life department.

In one video, she writes ‘I’m sick of falling for f*ckboys’ before cutting to a hilarious video of her absolutely stacking it as she leaves a nightclub, over which she has put the words ‘also me:’ 

One way or another, it won’t take long to find out whether Casa Amor proves to be the answer to her failed dating-life.
