Farm life is no picnic, as Jeremy Clarkson has been finding out.

The Grand Tour host has been running Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, since 2019, sharing his journey in his Amazon Prime series Clarkson's Farm.

And while he's had a few issues with some of the characters on his farm, he's now revealed that he had a particularly scary encounter with one of his cows recently.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the 61-year-old said the powerful animal nestled its head between his legs and 'smashed his testicles' in. Yikes.

Branding it the 'lowest point' of his career, Clarkson said: "They are like Bruce Lee, only more deadly.

"Having failed to connect with her hoofs, she put her head between my legs and then raised it smartly.

"I think this was the lowest point in my farming career to date. Being attacked by a cow while on my knees, in the mud, in a storm, with smashed testicles."

It's fair to say that Clarkson's venture has been divisive, with some backing the presenter's farm and praising it for bringing visitors to the area.

Others, however, haven't been so impressed.

One resident even issued a complaint to the Oxford Mail that they were 20 minutes late to a doctor's appointment as a result of the traffic.

Clarkson's Farm has been a hit since it landed on Amazon.

The unnamed resident branded the situation 'complete chaos'.

They said: "I was 20 minutes late for a doctor's appointment due to queues.

"They have parking management on the entrance of Clarkson's farm who are instructing cars to park on the road.

"The cars parked go on for more than a mile."

Not one to take criticism lying down, Clarkson took to Twitter to respond.

"There are three roads from Chadlington to the A361," he said.

"She could have used one of the other two instead of moaning."

Some local residents have complained about the traffic caused by the farm.

One user commented: "Tbh your shop is on 1 road, near a nasty junction but I do think it brings more to the area than it takes.

"The verges are destroyed, traffic is an issue, I know... Why not have the shop at the farmyard/ house?"

To which, The Grand Tour host replied: "It’s not as near as the caravan site and no-one complains about that."

This comes after Clarkson announced that the farm shop would be closed for the next two months for refurbishment.

A post on Instagram read: "Diddly Squat Farm Shop open 9.30-4pm until 31st December. Closed January & February.

"Council insisted we change the roof. Closed for building work.”
