Ke Huy Quan gives Harrison Ford the most wholesome surprise at the Indiana Jones 5 premiere

Ke Huy Quan gives Harrison Ford the most wholesome surprise at the Indiana Jones 5 premiere

The actor approached his legendary co-star while he was conducting interviews on the red carpet.

Ke Huy Quan surprised Harrison Ford on the red carpet of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

The Temple of Doom actor gave his former co-star a pleasant surprise while attending the premiere of Ford’s new Indiana Jones movie in Los Angeles.

Quan was just 12 years old when he played the role of Short Round in the iconic movie almost 40 years ago.

The Everything All At Once actor approached Ford while conducting interviews on the red carpet.

Quan proceeded to wrap his arms around him with a glowing smile on his face while Ford embraced him to the delight of onlookers.

Many fans were pickled by the reunion, as one user penned to Twitter: “The way his face changes after he realizes who was hugging him.”

Another said: “Ke Huy Quan is who everyone’s inner child aspires to grow up to be.”

A third commented: “I really fucking love that nothing on earth gets any reaction out of Harrison Ford except Ke Huy Quan.”

While another shared: “The Harrison Ford and Ke Huy Quan seeing each other in public stuff is gold. Give them a new buddy comedy!”

Now, I would watch that.

During last year's awards season, Quan reconnected with Ford at the D23 expo event.

Quan explained to NYT reporter Kyle Buchanan: "We were at the D23 event and I was told Harrison was gonna be there.

"We're in this green room with so many actors, producers, and directors, and the person who was assigned to assist me said, 'Harrison Ford is right outside the green room. Would you want to go say hi?'”

While Quan was eager to see his Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom co-star, he began to question if the 80-year-old cinematic legend would even remember him.

"As I get closer, he turns and points his finger at me, and he has that classic, famous, grumpy Harrison Ford look," Quan explained to the NYT.

"I go, 'Oh my gosh, he probably thinks I'm a fan and he's gonna tell me to not come near him'.

"But he looks and points at me and says, 'Are you Short Round?'

"Immediately, I was transported back to 1984, when I was a little kid, and I said, 'Yes, Indy.' And he said, 'Come here,' and gave me a big hug."

Ok, these two simply must be protected at all costs.
