Keanu Reeves Ringing Grandmother For A Chat Once Again Proves He's The Nicest Guy In Hollywood

Keanu Reeves is a god amongst men

Keanu Reeves has to be the nicest guy in Hollywood, having swerved the cutthroat attitude associated with the world of acting and instead focus on being kind and generous.

So when a post showed up this week describing a time the Matrix star called someone’s grandma for a chat because she was a fan, we weren’t all that surprised.

The anecdote was shared by Reddit user afdc92, which of course means the whole thing could be made up.

But once you read the story, you’ll likely agree that this definitely sounds like something Keanu Reeves would do.

They wrote: “My grandmother had a crush on Keanu Reeves because he reminded her of my grandfather when he was young. Saw all his stuff, from Bill and Ted to the Matrix

“She had a stroke in her early 70s and was pretty much housebound for the last 10 years of her life, so watching movies was her main hobby, and became almost like friends to her because she so rarely got to see any of her own.

“Not too long after the Matrix came out my uncle was in LA for business and was eating at a really swanky restaurant when Keanu came in with a woman.

“When he finished his meal my uncle came up to their table and said ‘I don’t usually do this, but I just wanted you to know that my 80-year-old mother loves you and has seen all of your movies. You remind her of my dad.’

“He said Keanu asked if he had a cell phone on him and when he confirmed that he did, he said ‘Give her a call, I want to talk to her.’

“He spoke with my grandmother for several minutes and it absolutely made her year. She was so isolated and his genuine kindness to her and interest in her showed what a truly amazing man he is.”

I’m not crying, you’re crying.

The post has received numerous comments from people expressing their love for the 57-year-old star, including this person who wrote: “There is virtually no positive story I would not instantly believe about Keanu Reeves.

“It's been conditioned, after 20 years of just reading stories about random, wholesome acts of non-showy kindness.

“If I went downstairs and found our kitchen had been remodeled and cleaned overnight and was told 'yeah Keanu Reeves just flew to the UK and sat on the train for 2 hours to do our kitchen, wouldn't accept any money', I'd probably believe it.”

A second said: “Just when you think we've reached peak Keanu, he ascends even higher.”

Yep, it’s safe to say Keanu is a god amongst men.
