Keanu Reeves has said he is 'heartbroken' over the devastating news of Lance Reddick's death.
The pair worked together on Chad Stahelski's John Wick movie series, having formed a strong bond over the years.
Sad news arrived yesterday (17 March) when Reddick's publicist Mia Hansen revealed that Reddick had passed away at the age of 60.
Speaking to the BBC, she said: "Lance will be greatly missed. Please respect his family's privacy at this time."
As the tributes continue to pour in, Reeves and Stahelski shared a joint statement with Variety as they mourn the loss of their co-worker and friend.
"We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick," they said.
"He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family and friends."
The pair said they will dedicate John Wick: Chapter 4 - in which Reddick returns as the Continental's concierge Charon - to the star.
"We dedicate the film to his loving memory," they said. "We will miss him dearly."
Fellow John Wick star Ian McShane added: "Total shock and disbelief. Lance was a wonderful human being and a wonderful colleague.
"My deepest condolences, peace and love to his wife, Stephanie, and all his family."
The late actor was also famed for his role in the hit drama series The Wire, with numerous people connected to the show expressing their sadness over the news.
Creator David Simon wrote on Twitter: "Consummate professional, devoted collaborator, lovely and gentle man, loyal friend.
"Could go on, but no, I can't go on. This is gutting. And way, way, way too soon."
The Wire's Wendell Pierce added: "A man of great strength and grace. As talented a musician as he was an actor. The epitome of class.
"A sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family. An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones.
"Godspeed my friend. You made your mark here. RIP."
Elsewhere, Isiah Whitlock Jr, who played corrupt state senator Clay Davis on the HBO show, said: "Shocked and saddened by the news that Lance Reddick has passed away.
"Truly heartbreaking. R.I.P. My friend. You will be missed."
Reddick was hailed as one of Hollywood's finest, with an impressive filmography and portfolio of work attesting to his powerful performances.
Fans continue to share their grief over the loss, with one highlighting his memorable appearance on The Eric Andre Show.
