Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian have officially tied the knot after a year of dating.

The couple were spotted exchanging vows on the steps of what appears to be a courthouse on Anacapa Street in Santa Barbara, California, with Kardashian dressed in a classic white dress and veil while the Blink-182 drummer donned a smart black suit.

Far from a big blowout event, the newlyweds celebrated with a few close friends and family members in attendance, as well as a few bodyguards.

News of the nuptials was first reported by TMZ and confirmed by a source to People, who explained this weekend's ceremony was a step towards bigger plans.

"They had to legally get married first ahead of their big Italian wedding, which is happening very soon," they explained. "All the details are set and the whole family, including all the kids, are very excited."

Kardashian and Barker left the venue in a black lowrider convertible, with a sign reading 'Just Married' attached to the front of the vehicle.

With apparent plans for an upcoming celebration in Italy, the ceremony in Santa Barbara seemingly marks the second of three different ways Kardashian and Barker are marking a move into married life.

Earlier this year, the couple underwent a commitment ceremony at One Love Wedding Chapel, where the ceremony was conducted by an Elvis Presley impersonator.

Images shared by Kardashian show the pair smiling and kissing in front of a sign reading 'love', but the reality TV star made clear the event wasn't anything official as she revealed they had not previously obtained a marriage license.

At the time, Kardashian wrote: "Found these in my camera roll. Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2am, after an epic night and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license). Practice makes perfect."

Kardashian's mum, Kris Jenner, said on 9 May she had been 'sworn to secrecy' when it came to revealing details about her daughter's wedding, telling People: "If I say one thing about a wedding, I am gonna be in so much trouble!"

Barker and Kardashian were confirmed to be dating in January 2021 and just a few months later, in October, the musician popped the question at the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel in California.

Kardashian celebrated the news with images of her and Barker wrapped in each other's arms while surrounded by roses and candles, along with the caption 'forever'.
