Amber Heard Breaks Down As She Recounts Harrowing Alleged Incident In Australia

The sobbing actress recounted how Depp allegedly had her cornered and threw glass bottles at her in the now infamous trip to Australia.

Amber Heard has broken down on the stand, sobbing as she told the court of the savage attack she allegedly experienced at the hands of Johnny Depp while visiting Australia.

The Aquaman star told the court that by March 2015, her now ex-husband had told her 'the only way out of this is death' about 25 times, referring to their relationship.

In another fight, Heard told the court that the Pirates of the Caribbean star threw her 'hard' against the walls of where they were staying in Australia, while calling her a 'w***e' and 's**t'.

Heard said when she tried to shove Depp off of her, he said 'you wanna go, little girl?' and then shoved her into a games table and kept 'whacking' her face.

She alleged Depp was drinking at the time and testified to the court that he 'taunted' her to take the bottle from him.

Heard said she eventually snapped, grabbing it from him and then 'smashed it on the floor' which 'really set him off'.

The 36-year-old said Depp then 'backhanded' her before throwing another bottle at her, with him later shoving a broken bottle into her face while threatening to 'carve' it up.

The Aquaman star said she couldn't remember if she threw anything in the fracas, but told the court that she doesn't think she did.

"He was throwing these bottles, one after the other, and I felt glass breaking behind me," she said, sobbing, telling the court that he then ripped off her nightgown.

Heard recounted another barrage of abuse,

"He’s screaming at me that he hates me and that I ruined his life," she said.

She added Depp said: "I f***ing hate you, you ruined my f***ing life."

Heard then told the court that Depp's eyes went 'black' and that she 'couldn’t see him anymore'.

"I’ve never been so scared in my entire life," she said.

The 36-year-old recounted that Depp was on to of her, and she tried to tell her then-husband that he was 'really hurting me'.

"I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t get through to him, I couldn’t get up ... I don’t know what happened next," she said.

Heard also alleged Depp sexually assaulted her with a bottle, which left her 'retching' on the floor of the bathroom.

Heard's shocking testimony continues against her ex-husband, as she defends herself against a $50 million ($AUD 70.4m, £40m) in a defamation suit.

Heard has counter-sued Depp for $100 million ($AUD 140.8m, £80m).

Depp's legal action came after Depp wrote a 2018 Washington Post op-ed, which was headlined: "I spoke up against sexual violence - and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change."
